제가 가본 병원 중에 최고였어요. 저는 65세인데 말이죠. 음식도 최고였어요. 마치 5성급 레스토랑에 온 것 같았어요. 의사 선생님들과 간호사분들도 정말 훌륭했어요. 떠나기가 너무 아쉬워요. 병원도 아주 깨끗했어요. 응급실에서 20분도 안 돼서 나왔고, 1시간 반 만에 병실에 들어갔어요. 오늘 퇴원해요.

제 경험은 정말 최고였습니다. 좀 더 자세히 설명하자면, 토런스 메모리얼 병원은 최고입니다!!! 최고의 의료진은 칭찬할 만합니다. 응급 진료가 필요해서 극심한 피로감을 느꼈는데, 예배 후 응급실에 도착하고 바로 응급실로 가서 추가 검사를 받았습니다. 병원은 정말 훌륭하게 저를 돌봐주었습니다. 접수 담당자부터 의사 선생님, 그리고 저를 감동시킨 모든 간호사와 간호조무사까지, 정말 따뜻한 위로의 말씀으로 저를 위로해 주었습니다. 최고의 치료를 받고 있다고 확신시켜 주셨습니다. 이름조차 기억나지 않습니다. 안타깝게도 후기를 남기는 데 며칠이 걸렸습니다. 하지만 제대로 된 후기를 남기기 전까지는 마음이 편하지 않았습니다. 병원 직원들은 정말 최고였습니다. 가능하다면 이 병원 직원들에게 "100점 이상"을 주고 싶습니다. 분명 그럴 자격이 있습니다. 영원히 감사하고, 진심으로 감사드립니다🥇

최근 토런스 메모리얼 병원에서 출산했는데, 정말 훌륭한 진료를 받아 정말 감사했습니다. 프런트 데스크 직원, 산전 간호사, 마취과 의사, 의사, 산후 간호사까지 제가 만난 모든 분들이 전문적이고 친절하며 든든했습니다. 산전 간호사였던 미아 마브로미칼리스에게 진심으로 감사드립니다. 그녀는 정말 인내심 많고 전문적이었으며, 모든 과정을 단계별로 안내해 주었고, 순조롭고 자연스러운 출산을 위해 안전하고 자신감을 가질 수 있도록 도와주었습니다. 또한, 그녀의 유머 감각은 힘든 시기에 제 긴장을 풀어주는 데 큰 도움이 되었습니다. 이 중요한 경험을 긍정적이고 안심할 수 있는 경험으로 만들어 주신 모든 팀원들에게 감사드립니다.

Just a PSA: Torrance Memorial Medical Center is the most unprofessional, bureaucratic hospital I’ve ever dealt with. Despite California law allowing hospitals to consider multiple possible surrogates for an incapacitated patient, Torrance Memorial gave full control to a manipulative, completely self-centered spouse and repeatedly justified banning me from seeing my touch-and-go ICU father with “we have to respect the wishes of the wife.” Any pushback was met with some version of “take it to court.” They also upheld this ban for my father’s elderly sister and mother but allowed anyone else in that my mother approved of. The nurses were often cruel, rude, and humiliating toward family members my mother didn’t like. Multiple relatives were treated with open contempt, and it genuinely felt like we were being punished for being labeled a problem family and the most aggressive, unprofessional, and cruel nurses were assigned to my father as we continued to seem problematic to the nursing staff. Dr. Hugo Hool in oncology (at least, in my experience—YMMV) has an atrocious bedside manner. He was dismissive, arrogant, condescending, and quick to accuse us of consulting “Doctor Google,” while expecting hefty praise for what he framed as some special, unorthodox treatment for my father that was only done on a sign of “goodwill” from the hospital. I never want to step foot in Torrance Memorial again, and I hope very few people have experiences like this. TL;DR: Humiliating, hostile experience. If your family looks dysfunctional, expect family members to be treated poorly and if a toxic spouse has power, the hospital will back them no matter what. Nurses can also be extremely unprofessional, cruel, and rude to family members.
