I initially left a review based solely on the fact that the business opened over an hour after its posted hours. Since then, the owner’s public response has compelled me to expand on what actually happened. The owner claims he was in a freeway accident and delayed by police. I checked local traffic reports and found no incidents or closures in the area matching the timeline. The excuse seemed inconsistent, especially as he arrived unapologetic and curt, showing no concern for the multiple customers who had waited 40+ minutes or the delivery driver who had to leave and come back. He also points out that I “spent no money.” I had a $400+ UPS package rerouted to this location—a service chosen by the carrier, not me—and I had no say in where it was delivered. Businesses that partner with delivery services have a responsibility to uphold basic professional standards. That includes: • Opening on time • Having call forwarding so customers can reach you • Setting an out-of-office email to explain delays • Posting updates to Google if emergencies arise — following the same steps taken to respond to this review None of this happened. Instead, the owner deflected responsibility, misrepresented the encounter, and dismissed me as a “one-time visitor.” It’s telling that he saw my presence—and the valid concerns of others waiting—as less valuable simply because money didn’t exchange hands at his counter. This business is not reliable, not transparent, and not respectful of customers’ time or dignity. If I were UPS, I would reconsider using this location for package holds. I will be filing a report with them as well. Business owners love to claim that one-star reviews “hurt small businesses.” But star ratings reflect the effort a business puts into serving its customers. If a business delivers a one-star experience, it earns a one-star review. That’s not cruelty—it’s accountability.

New owners have made a big difference. I avoided this place for a long time due to poor customer service in the past. I decided to use them again only because I was in a hurry and they are close by. I really appreciated the outstanding service I received. Staff went out of their way to be accommodating. Prices are quite reasonable too.

Went there for a live scan. The live scan was completed quickly and successfully but the problem was that the person who took care of it was seemingly disgruntled; he had an attitude from the moment he started processing me and when I calmly mentioned it to him he flipped out. The other people working there just stood there and did not try to deescalate the situation. This guy was unprofessional and again... he seemed disgruntled to me. BEWARE, I'm reading past reviews of this place and it seems like this guy has a track record. The onus is on an establishment to provide a minimum standard of customer service, I wouldn't recommend ANYONE go here just based off on the interaction with this employee. Glad I called him out, although I'm sure his coworkers are used to it.

Excellent customer service! I didn't use any of their services or even buy anything but I still got awesome customer service. I was a few blocks away on my computer having trouble with my FedEx shipping account. Looking for help I walked in and told Jason about my issues. He logged on to my account and went through the process with me to make sure it was working properly. Then i brought in my laptop and he went through the process with me again using his WiFi connection. Turns out it was an oversight on my part. I was thoroughly impressed with his level of customer service. He gave me a few tips that ended up saving me time and money while shipping through my own account. Helping me didn't provide an immediate benefit to his business yet he still took the time to help. Don't see this too often in LA. There are other shipping/mail stations closer to my place but Mail Call has earned my business for sure. I definitely recommend this business.

Came here for LiveScan. Quick and easy and they get the job done. I am giving them a 3 Star for costumer service. Jason was not very warm and often times come off rude and disrespectful. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and say maybe he was having a bad day but I will not be returning here for any more services.
