So far, I’ve been very pleased with their prompt response, shipping, and delivery. Paid a bit more for the kendo bogu set, but no explanation on the difference regards to products level of superiority based on price. Still researching to see what I paid for. Overall, very good purchase experiences.
By far, one of the best purchasing experiences I had. I recently made an order, but accidentally entered in the wrong shipping address. One quick phone call later, and the shipping address was updated. The man I dealt with over the phone was very quick, and corrected the problem without any troubles. Excellent customer service, and I would highly recommend buying from E-BOGU!
Highly recommend them overall. Some of the best service I've ever experienced in the US. I got a shinai for Christmas mistakenly it was the bamboo only and the tsukagawa wouldn't go on without equipment fitment. They took care of everything for me after sending it back and kept me in the loop the whole way. This is not to mention that they also fully assembled it for me after having sent it back not just the tsukagawa fitment free of charge.
I wish I could leave more than five stars. I’ve ordered from this company in the past and have always enjoyed the quality of my items. However this order they’ve gone above and beyond with the customer service. Received a call from EBOGU and he stated that he was trying to make sure the order shipped out today ( I placed this order only maybe 1-2 hours ago) and that the hakama I ordered was back ordered, waited super patiently for me to check the size of a different hakama I own, then immediately offered to ship out one of a different material that was the color and size I need, as well as a refund for the difference in price. Addressed my issue, offered a resolution, and then executed, all while being super polite. By far the BEST customer service I’ve ever received.
Edited. I'm changing to 2 stars because of the holiday season order. One of my client asked me to order a Iaito as a Christmas gift for his son. Order was placed and money was withdrawn. After 11 days and when the shipment should have been delivered, I reached out for an update because I was not giving a tracking number. They told me we are out of stuck of the Iaito that my client wanted. They said, due to COVID-19 we are limiting staff number and we did not keep track of the orders. So they simply said sorry, we have other ones if you like to. And that was it. So Christmas passed already my client was waiting very patiently for the Iaito to be very disappointed at the end. However. I promised that this will not happened again and Because I did not deliver on time I will get his son Iaito as a gift when they're back in stock. I'm very disappointed with E-Bogu. As an E-commerce I think they should do better in taking orders and mostly in communicating early if they're out of items, not to mention holding the money for 11 days then issue a refund that takes 5 to 7 days. Just as bad as banks.
