This place is amazing! I love the modern hanbok-inspired skirt and got a lot of cute accessories (see photos). Everything is well-made, decently priced, and the owner is very nice and helpful. Highly recommend for street- and everyday-wear!
Best place to rent beautiful hanboks and wedding dress! I rented my wedding dress and a hand painted modern hanbok back in 2017! In 2021 rented a modern hanbok to do a hanbok photoshoot with my husband. Rented my hanbok and my daughter’s hanbok for her first birthday back in 2023. And the most recent this year (2025) rented my hanbok for my son’s first birthday. Got so many compliments for each dress! They have a great selection of hanboks!! Laura and her daughter helped me find the perfect ones!! Next event I need a hanbok will be hands down from Lee Hwa!
I have never been to the brick and mortar location, so am leaving a review based on my experience with LeeHwa as an out-of-state customer. I bought one of their specialty modernized hanboks for my wedding and was so impressed with the friendly communication and prompt responses via email (complete with advice for fitting), the care taken during shipping, and the amazing quality of their products! The hanbok was beautiful, as were the norigae and earrings I purchased. I highly recommend LeeHwa, and as a Korean American, I am so grateful they made all of my wedding dreams come true.
I cannot express how appreciative I am of everyone at Leehwa. They did an incredible job with the custom hanbok for my wedding. I originally found them on Instagram, and everything I saw further cemented that "this is the place". So I made arrangements to fly down to LA from Seattle just to get this dress. The staff were super friendly, a joy to talk to, and they took great care in walking my best friend and I through all our options down to the most minor detail. I went in to pick out materials and place my order in November and arranged to pick it up the following spring which later on just happened to overlap with a temporary store closure. Despite not officially being open, they still made sure to schedule my fitting appointment and walked me through all the information on caring for the hanbok during and after the wedding. Without a doubt Leehwa brought my dream wedding dress to life, helped me incorporate my heritage into my big day, and I couldn't be happier. It was an absolute showstopper and I got so many compliments on it. Highly recommend them and I can't thank them enough!
We worked with Leehwa for the hanboks for our Pyebaek ceremony for our wedding on 10/21/23, and could not recommend Laura or Leehwa enough!! We rented hanboks for the bride, groom and mother of the bride, and they were all beautiful, altered to us before the big day, and just stunning - we got so many compliments on them and the process was seamless! Special thanks to Laura for helping us pick out the exact right hanboks, getting the hanboks to us in record time, and basically making the whole experience so fun and enjoyable. We loved working with her and are such a fan of her work!! It was an honor to wear Leehwa hanboks at our wedding and we are so so grateful. Thank you!
