We had a small friends meet here and the ambience and their service was great. We tried their Cajun fries, cauliflower, onion rings and buffalo wings. The Cajun fries and cauliflower fries were one of the best we tried. It was so good we had to get it again. Their drinks were great my friends ordered shots and few cocktails which they said tasted great. Overall we loved their location and I believe it will be crowded on weekends. On weekdays we didnt wait to be seated.
This place was a bit tricky to find, but once I did, I walked into a very fun themed Sports Bar! The ship decor was very fun! They had a variety of sports playing on the TV's and so we were definitely watching some sports while enjoying our food and beverages! Service was great, once we sat down, our server making sure that we were the entire time. The first thing out try a new Chicken Salad on Naan bite. Which is now the Chicken Salad Dip. It had great seasoning, and the crunch from the celery! Lumpia: Now I'm a bit bias, as a Filipina, and I do make my own, I typically make mine with mixed ground meats (either a combo of ground pork, beef, and chicken, or just beef and chicken for my kosher friends.) I don't know if it was the just beef thing, or how it's seasoned, it just tastes different from other Lumpiang Shanghai I've had. But it's still good! Once again, this is a super bias review for lumpia!!!! Please don't mind my pickiness! Far East Nachos: This was really good! I was worried it was going to be more on the sweeter side, but the siracha sauce helped cut through all the sweetness. Definitely good for sharing, though that's what I didn't do. Carene Asada Tots: These are great! The cheese was melty, the asada had great seasoning, and it was cooked at the perfect temp. It was actually a delicious meal. Whiskey Spring Fling: This was so refreshing, it wasn't super sweet, but boy did that drink hit the spot! Shirley Temple: We have to have a non-alcoholic classic somewhere, and this was made to perfection! Overall this place was great! It's a fun sports bar for sure!
I came here tonight at 7pm with my service dog to meet friends that already had a table after a day of work. The bar was bustling for the game which I was happy to see but upon entry, there was a gal in crutches ahead of me and I heard the door kid say they were at capacity. I checked in with him with my service dog and immediately said, we are at capacity and don't allow dogs. I let him know I have a seat waiting for me at a table, said my dog is a service dog, and simply said, "I'm sorry we're at capacity and dont allow dogs." I understand the capacity thing. So I went outside and called my friend who was inside to tell him I couldn't come in because the bar was at capacity. My guy friend came out and gave me a hug. My friend then talked to the door guy and said that door guy said, "He said he'll let you in but not your dog." I confirmed with him, "So you lied about being at capacity and are denying my service dog? Because you just told my friend you'd let me in." He tried to explained that the bar is busy and that that is how the owner runs it. I asked to speak to a manager. A manager comes out, or claims to be, saying she owned the bar, and never introduced her name. She was wearing 49ers jersey, blonde hair. I explained the situation to her and said, "you can't turn away service dogs, that's a violation. Do you understand that?" She then proceeded to explain to me that because the bar is busy and people are spilling drinks SHE does not feel comfortable having a dog in her bar. I again said, he is here for me, he is a certified service dog, and sits under the table, as my dog is just standing there. I asked, "Wouldn't that be MY call if I was comfortable if my service dog and I were in here or not?" She responded, "No, it is my bar so it's my call." She proceeded to say, "Look you can come here on a Monday with him and youll be fine. I love dogs more than I like humans, my sister has a service dog, etc. Etc." None of her banter ok's the fact that she outrightly denied entry of a patron with service dog and initially claiming to ve of capacity but lied about that as well. Horrible door experience and unfortunately I will have to report this to the DOJ as an ADA violation. This review is to document the occurrence and advise those planning to bring service dogs to be aware they will make excuses to not let you and your working animal in. For the owner, hi, just FYI businesses must allow service animals unless they pose a direct threat (in which mine did not). You violated both federal ADA and CA laws.
Came here for happy hour and I have to say the food is great and the servers are all super friendly! The vibes are also always high even for weekdays
Great vibes and service over here. Our bartender was Chad and he was a pretty cool dude. Asked for some recommendations on drinks and did not do us wrong. He always checked up on us from time to time. This bar has a good selection of food, beer, and mix drinks. They also have a music junk box if you want to play songs but at a price. Will definitely be coming back here. Plenty of parking and don't have a hard time getting here.
