Nice lake with a very peaceful atmosphere. There are public bathrooms available, which makes the visit comfortable. There are so many birds around, great for watching nature and relaxing. The walking trail around the lake is beautiful, and a full circle takes about 30 minutes at a relaxed pace. A great spot for a calm walk and some fresh air.

Always a fun experience. I often take photos at this park, and always have fun here! It's quite relaxing. Sometimes I bring my dog to the park here, and we both have an amazing time. Its calming, parking is never a problem either.

Lake Balboa is our favorite place in the entire Valley. My wife and I love walking around the lake. It’s about a mile loop and always feels peaceful and calming, no matter what kind of day you’re having. There’s so much wildlife to see. We’ve spotted pelicans, ducks, geese, birds, fish, little gophers, and even coyotes and skunks from time to time. It really feels like a slice of nature right in the middle of the city. It’s a great spot for a walk or a run, or to just bring a blanket and have a picnic. On the weekends, we love the street vendors around the park. It adds to the charm and makes it feel even more like a community space. There’s also a great playground if you have kids and plenty of space to just relax under the trees. Spring is beautiful with everything in bloom. Summer is perfect for finding shade and escaping the heat. Fall brings cooler weather and changing colors, and even in winter it stays sunny and warm enough to enjoy a peaceful afternoon outside. The mountain views around the Valley are a bonus. Honestly, I almost didn’t want to write this review because it feels like such a well-kept secret, but it’s too good not to share. Lake Balboa is a true gem and we hope it stays that way for years to come.

Lake Balboa/Anthony C. Beilenson Park is like an oasis in the Valley area. It’s conveniently located near the intersection of Highways 101 and 405, making it easily accessible. However, the parking lot has many unpaved areas, so be cautious if you have a low car, as the undercarriage might scrape the ground. The park is very large and features a golf course, walking trails, and a beautiful lake. It can get crowded on weekends, so it’s not the best place for those seeking peace and quiet. While the lake offers a stunning view, be aware that there are some small bugs around, so keep an eye out. The walking trails are diverse and well-maintained. Overall, it’s a great place for outdoor activities, but the crowd and bugs can be a concern for some.

My buddies and I have been fishing here for over 10 years. I would not eat the catch but it's a great place to bend your rod.
