Even though things were somehow resolved and time has passed, I'm still so angry I can't stand it. I went to a legal representative I'd been introduced to, but they asked me to pay them all I wanted and asked me to sign several pieces of paper. They told me not to worry and that they'd take care of everything, but a few months later, they almost got angry and demanded more money. I held it together. After consulting with a couple of lawyers and explaining everything, the situation was truly unbelievable. It cost me multiple times as much time and money, and I ended up going with a lawyer. I don't know if they were a legal representative, a paralegal, an LDA, or an immigration consultant, but even lawyers lose their licenses if they scam me, so I'm just going to wait and see. 🚨 I. The fact that the content of the Korean and English ads differ is a serious problem in itself. In the Korean version: "Beopmusa (state-licensed legal representative)" In the English version: "paralegal and immigration consulting office" In other words, in Korean, they advertise as a legal representative, but in English, they advertise as a paralegal + immigration consultant. This violates the Consumer Legal Remedies Act and B&P Code §6408.5 (Prohibition on Misleading Advertising) and B&P Code §17500 (False Advertising). 🚨 II. Paralegals cannot provide independent services – the advertisement itself is illegal. It says "paralegal" in English, but: ❌ Paralegal = Employee of a lawyer ❌ Prohibition on advertising independent services ❌ Prohibition on direct client contact (B&P Code §6450) This business operates independently as a paralegal + advertises + accepts cases → 100% illegal. 🚨 III. Immigration consultants are strictly prohibited from handling divorce or civil matters. This is the most serious violation and subject to criminal penalties. ■ Immigration consultants are prohibited from providing any of the following: Form-filling assistance only Translation Notarization assistance (B&P Code §22442) ❌ 2,500 divorces ❌ 1,500 civil litigation documents ❌ 2,500 marriage registrations ❌ Alimony, child support, and child support ❌ Litigation response ❌ Eviction proceedings ❌ Divorce decree amendments ▶ Misdemeanor if performed by an immigration consultant ▶ Violation may result in a fine of up to $100,000 and county jail time. 🚨 IV. The filing method (requiring pre-signatures from clients) is a serious violation. Without explanation from the client: Pre-signing multiple court forms Completing them without verifying facts Charging additional fees if problems arise. This method: ✔ Unauthorized Practice of Law ✔ Consumer Fraud ✔ Form Selection Violation (B&P §6400(d)) ✔ Negligent Document Preparation ✔ Unfair Business Practices (B&P §17200) ➡️ Highly likely to cause client harm, resulting in both criminal and civil liability. 🚨 V. "State Board Certified Paralegal" is a non-existent certification → False advertising. In California: ❌ There is no State Board Paralegal Certification system. → 100% fabrication or misrepresentation. ■ B&P §17500 (False Advertising) ■ Civil Penalty of $2,500 per violation. 🚨 VI. Advertising success rates is prohibited by LDA/IC. Suggestions such as "3,000 green cards," "2,500 divorces successfully," or "1,500 civil litigation documents perfectly processed" are: ■ B&P §6410.5(a)(5) 👉 No "success," "guarantee," or "processed." 🚨 VII. Civil litigation, divorce, etc., neither paralegals nor immigration consultants are permitted to act as agents. ❌ Drafting divorce documents ❌ Civil litigation documents ❌ Alimony, child support, and custody ❌ Amending judgments ❌ Explanation and selection of legal procedures ❌ Litigation response guidance ■ B&P §6125–6126 Unauthorized Practice of Law Criminal penalties apply.

The fact that they called me multiple times and requested additional documents showed their dedication. They are incredibly thorough. While my status will be fine going forward, if anything were to arise, I would definitely visit this firm again. I highly recommend them.
