I spoke to Eric the quote manager quote about the fact that their EBT hot foods is not working. He told me that they never take EBT hot foods. What's so funny is that I work at the location and I always use my EBT hot foods for lunch. They blamed me for not having anything in my balance. And then when I showed them that I did, he said they don't take it at all which is a complete lie. They told me to wait and speak to the manager Vanessa… I waited for two hours and Vanessa did not show up although I was told she'd be there 30 minutes before it hit two hours. When I spoke to her, she was ready to get off the phone, saying she'd look into it. I just said OK while I was on the phone with her driving to a fast food restaurant to get my lunch With my EBT hot foods. Which by the way worked at the location I went to. I came back to the same Gelson's because I work in that shopping center and when I have them try to purchase the same barbecue ribs it did not work, it only worked when I tried to order pizza but then he say that they don't take EBT hot food at all? She tried to dismiss me off the phone. Try to avoid accountability. Very nonchalant during the entire conversation… Their barcode clearly do not work on certain foods.
Too many dogs. They're dirty and LA laws prohibit them. Nothing has been done at Gelsen's. Gelsen's already has security guards; why can't they kick out the dogs. LA statues say only service animals can enter supermarkets. Not "emotional support animals." What if everyone brought their dog with them. It would be bedlam! I'm already spending way too much for groceries here and I don't think I should have to put up with it!
Please keep my experience in mind if you plan to shop here and validate your mall parking ticket. First, validating your ticket at Gelson’s automatically eliminates the free one-hour parking. Second, you must exit the mall within three hours of arrival; otherwise, you are charged the full parking fee. Unfortunately, I was misled yesterday by a Gelson’s cashier, who told me that I would only need to pay the difference after the three-hour validation.
Kelly from the Deli makes sandwiches like my mom does, with Love! Great customer service and always wishes me a great day! I walk out of Gelson’s with a smile, happy and blessed to have a delicious meal.
DID NOT VALIDATE MY PARKING TICKET I WASTED $15 on some overpriced “fresh” cut fruits here just to have to pay for the parking fee. I understand the rule we left within 3 hours so it should’ve worked. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE
