I had a very poor experience with the eye department. I was kept waiting for no clear reason by an employee named Leslie, with no explanation or communication. The department also appeared understaffed, and there was no sense of urgency to help customers who were waiting. Overall, the lack of organization, staffing, and basic customer service was very disappointing. I would not recommend this location for eye care.
This Costco in Los Feliz is very convenient for central LA residents. The store is well-stocked and generally clean, though it can get extremely busy, especially on weekends. Parking is available in the structure, but finding a spot during peak hours can take time. Staff are efficient and helpful, and checkout usually moves faster than expected. Overall, it’s a reliable location for bulk shopping if you’re prepared for the crowds.
Costco is a fun place to shop. Shop between noon and 3:00 p.m. for a selection of food samples. Most items are in large quantities so make sure that you have plenty of car space, home space, refrigerator space and freezer space for your purchases. Additionally, there is a food court if you feel hungry. There is a small selection of fast foods to eat. Everything from a hot dog and refillable drink for $1.50 to a whole pizza($10) and other tasty items. The return policy is very convenient for all items at the store: food, appliances and home goods. The parking lot is often very full so be prepared to loop around or park further away and walk in.
I am extremely disappointed with how we were treated during today’s visit around 2 pm. The employee at the entrance who checks membership cards stopped us and asked what kind of service my dog provides. This question was asked in a very rude manner and they do not have right to ask what kind of service our service dog provide. Later, even the manager acknowledged that they do not have the right to question customers in that manner, yet the employee still did. The tone and attitude of the employee were very rude and dismissive. Instead of handling the situation professionally and respectfully, it felt confrontational and careless. Because of the way we were treated, my mom, who has a disability, felt extremely upset and embarrassed. The entire situation could have been handled with basic courtesy and sensitivity, but it was not. Regardless of store policies, no one should be treated with disrespect — especially individuals with disabilities. I truly hope management provides better training to their front-door staff on how to communicate respectfully and appropriately with customers.
I don't understand those who say this place is cheap. I think those who say it's cheap are people who are unaware of technology and are lost in their own little world. Because only 3-5 of Kroger's own brand products are cheap; nothing else is cheap, neither food nor other products. They only offer discounts on a few products from time to time. Research this online. If it suits you, buy it, otherwise I definitely don't recommend it. There's nothing cheap about it. As I said, only a few products are cheap.
