Outstanding experience, we enjoyed the Wednesday night live jazz band. Our meal was delicious. The oysters were delicious, tuna tartar a must! the cauliflower soup went great with their house made fresh bread. main courses were amazing and presented wonderfully. The wine selection is very extensive. staff was very helpful from coat check to servers even management would come by to check on us and ask if everything was well. I will definitely return again or bring friends from out of town to enjoy this beautiful and great ny restaurant experience. loved how they any left over to go for you by coat check.
This is one of the places where I find every dish amazing. The food is not only good but also challenges your senses. The texture of the chocolate cake is definitely not something you would expect from the look (it looks like any other normal chocolate cake, doesn’t it?) The wet-aged steak tastes like steak, but the 40-day dry-aged steak tastes like something else. It has some special aroma as you slowly chew it. They also have a wine book for you to choose from. The two bottles that we had were really good to pair with the food.
Two words: Fine Dining. The service was top-notch. The ambiance was very romantic….live jazz music playing. Food was pretty average. My question is, why does fine dining always mean itty bitty portions? I feel like you are really paying for the fancy plating. If you want a romantic evening, this is a great place to go. However, if you are looking for an unforgettable meal, you should pass on this place.
So we went there for restaurant week. The food quality wasn’t bad, but I am concerned with the customer service. (The lobster on the regular menu tasted awful: not worth $58 in my opinion. But the $7 bread was amazing) (1) the appetizer included in the $60 bundle meal was charged again in my final receipt, I caught it and asked them to change back. It happened to another friend of mine recently too in this restaurant. I wonder if it’s the restaurant’s plan or it’s some waiter’s/waitress’ intentional mistake. Very suspicious. (2) During the time when I was chatting with my friend over dinner, different waiters and waitress kept coming to check with us, making us feel we were over staying. 🙂
Outstanding experience! I give them my outmost recommendation. First, we had a special occasion to celebrate and we highlighted this in our reservation. The receptionist carefully reviewed the reservation notes and seated us accordingly. Joseph was a gem and set the tone for the evening. This definitely elevated the experience from the first moment. The service delivered by the waiters were perfect. I mean it perfect! The food was delicious and the drinks was refreshing. To conclude, would definitely love to come again And I definitely recommend it.
