I had walked past this spot so many times on my way to work and finally decided to pop in because the vibes just looked too cute to ignore ✨ They had the sweetest little window seats and it felt warm and inviting from the second we stepped inside. They were featured for Restaurant Week which already had great deals, but honestly the happy hour plates were a complete steal. Such a good surprise stop in the middle of my work week. The owner and staff made the experience even better. The owner was so sweet and welcoming, making sure we had a cozy seat and even offering us a fresh appetizer to try. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience and it shows 💛 Now let’s talk food. The bacon wrapped dates were the star of the show for me 😍 Super crunchy and flavorful on the outside, and then perfectly sweet and chewy in the middle. That sweet and salty combo was unreal. I would go back just for those. The chorizo with chickpeas was packed with flavor and so comforting. The broth was rich and delicious, and I loved the balance of veggies and meat. It felt hearty but still fresh. We also ordered the pan con tomate which had really fresh sourdough with a thin layer of bright tomatoes. It was simple and good. Just a heads up, the tortilla platter also comes with bread and tomato, so we ended up with a lot of carbs on the table 🍞 The tortilla itself was classic and comforting with creamy potatoes inside and shishito peppers on the side. Overall such a cute, welcoming spot with amazing hospitality and flavorful tapas. This was such a fun little surprise find on my way to work and I’ll definitely be back 🥂✨
THE BEST PAELLA!! And this is coming from a group who had Paella in Barcelona 🤩 the vibe is amazing, place has a great vibe - convo-friendly and the food is bomb! Arroz Negra is a go-to, perfect toasted crust and the seafood on top is perfectly cooked. Gambas is amazing! Thank you Luis for being great! Made our stay amazing
Had a wonderful experience at Socarrat! The paella was absolutely delicious and the appetizers were fresh and full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, atmosphere was warm and inviting. Everything from the food to the ambiance made for a great dining experience. Highly recommend!
We had my brother’s wedding dinner at Socarrat, and it was wonderful! Mila was so helpful in planning the event, which we had in their private upstairs room. And Luis was the absolute best waiter who took the best care of us all evening. The whole staff was kind, accommodating, and gracious. And the food was delicious!! Highly recommend
The food is very delicious, my favorite is the lamb paella. This place is great, my favorite Spanish restaurant when I visit New York. It truly reminds me of Spain. The staff is very attentive and makes you feel at home. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to my friends. The best paellas and tapas in Manhattan! Very good food for the price. The paellas came out with a perfect socarrat — the crispy layer of rice at the bottom and around the pan. For those who don’t know that’s the Socarrat.
