Worth a $45 for our restaurant week experience at this place. The portions were very hefty each course and per person The flavor for the dishes were lemon and tang. The calamari had peppers and fried pickled jalapeños which i actually love and came w a spicy mayo kind of sauce to balance out the kick but in the end it got too tang. The caesar salad looked amazing and had a sesame toasty peanutt dressing which was amazing but felt heavy after some time and our server didnt tell anyone at the table there were nuts in any of our dishes, which was almost all the course. Then the chicken came on a two layer stack which was juicy and tender w a butternut squash puree base and pomegranate pumpkin seeds fried basil. It was very good and the chicken tasted nutmeg and cinnamon almost like a warm hug of thanksgiving spice. Salmon was a tad bit over but lemony and garden fresh farmer market vegetables the cauliflower had smokey and lemonnzesty flavor but the spinach was coated in fishy salmon juice. Rigatoni was al dente and we finished strong with tiramisu and that soft vanilla pudding w cereal cinnamon toast crunch.
Had dinner with the family at the Library tonight. This establishment is owned by the same group who runs Joe's Pub downstairs which has been around forever. The decor is stunning, the food was solid, and the service was excellent tonight. This is a great spot to grab a nice meal before the show!
Great option for a (nice) dinner before a show at The Public. The branzino and salmon were both superbly prepared. Vanilla pudding was the dessert standout! Drinks and wine were good… and mocktail (the “Negroni Adrift”) was truly perfect! Plus, service was great at every step — and kept us on track to enjoy our meal but make it to opening time for our show, without rush.
Michael and Drew were brilliant attentive bartenders - most relaxed I’ve felt all week after a turbulent landing into the city. Thank you. Really enjoyed the steak frites. Great place to have a cheeky cocktail before a show here at The Public . This was my first time at this establishment. I only wish the team behind the bar decor would raise the glasses ceiling holder for its very tall staff!
Just went for drinks and fries before the show and it was the perfect cozy winter spot! friendly people and generally well appointed spot.
