We really enjoyed our meal at Udon Lab. We started with the sautéed Brussels sprouts and the takoyaki (octopus fritters), and both were so good—great flavor and cooked perfectly. I ordered the pork Niku, which was comforting and delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the location was super convenient since we were staying right next door during our visit. Overall, a great spot and definitely one I’d recommend if you’re in the area!
After spending the day hanging out with family, we stumbled upon Udon Lab in K-town and had an outstanding dinner! The food was absolutely delicious and perfect for a cold winter night. Such a comforting spot for authentic Japanese cuisine.
Neat Udon shop in Koreatown in Manhattan. I haven't had all the Udons here, but the Spicy Korean Udon easily looked like the most delicious - forget about the bland, plain-looking Niku Udon! It was spicy, but not raging hot. There are lots of tastes and textures -- both meat and veggie -- in the unique tall bowl. The shape of the bowl may look modest in volume, but the portion is quite generous. I enjoy big portions, and I was satisfied.
One of my fav restaurants in K town! Love this restaurant. Went in for a quick lunch, I ordered creamy udon (the soupless one) and marinated raw octopus. Both dishes were delicious and fresh. They also have a variety of cold udon dishes on the menu. My waitress was always very nice, and the service was fast. Highly recommend.
The tempura platter was pretty good and a solid start. We also tried the lobster, tuna, and shrimp roll, but it really didn’t hit the mark for us. The katsu chicken, unfortunately, tasted off, which was disappointing. The hamburger platter was actually good and ended up being one of the better dishes we tried. I wish the curry sauce wasn’t made with pork broth. The staff were very friendly and overall vibes were awesome. The food was a letdown.
