The food was genuinely excellent—high-quality meats, great flavors, and everything cooked beautifully. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu, and the overall taste really stood out. Unfortunately, the service felt a bit off. The pacing was very rushed, and we felt pressured to order dessert before we were ready, which took away from an otherwise great dining experience. With more relaxed service, this place would be outstanding.
We had a fabulous date night here before our second baby arrives. Had the tasting menu so we were seated in front of the window. The views are spectacular. Food was amazing, they even gave us several amuse bouche in between waiting for our main dishes on the chefs tasting menu. The BBQ portion was cooked in front of us so we didn’t need to cook or cut the meats ourselves. We had the regular prime rib menu and it was fantastic. The galbi was marinated for 24 hours and you could tell the marinade penetrated deep into the core of the meat. Every morsel was savoured. The basque cheesecake was the cherry on top to end the meal. Loved the overall presentation and the flow of the meal. Will come again next time.
Unexpected place for someone living in New York for nearly 30 years.. breathtaking views, corteous attitude from staff, great food and wine selections. If you would like to impress your Date, combined mesmerizing views of the city with amazing Korean food- its a great place !
Went for January 2026 NYC Restaurant Week. It’s a beautiful space and the ambiance is nice. Wouldn’t say the menu was worth $60 per person plus tax and tip. Starters: Root Vegetable Salad and Tuna Tartare Mains: Black Tiger Shrimp and Black Cod Gui Desserts: Sesame Ice Cream and Yuzu Sorbet Root Vegetable Salad: root veggies and greens were fresh and well-selected. The dressing was overly sweet with no acid to balance it out. Tuna Tartare: was swimming in red pepper paste with nothing to counterbalance. Black Cod Gui: good, but the grilled mushroom was not fully cooked Black Tiger Shrimp: we were excited for this but it was disappointing. The shrimp came fresh and were grilled for 15-20 minutes in front of us. When we tried to eat them, the tips of the shrimp were still ice cold and translucent, so we asked for the tips to be grilled. The server’s body language indicated that they didn’t think we were being reasonable. The *entire* shrimp were grilled for another 10 minutes and were clearly overcooked. We asked for new shrimp. We had cut apart some shrimp to check rawness. The server took only the three whole shrimp and brought back precisely three to grill again. They were grilled for 15-20 minutes again. Another server grilled these and asked whether they were grilled to our satisfaction. They looked fine and we clarified that we had asked for new shrimp not because we had weird preferences for grilled shrimp but because we didn’t want to eat raw shrimp. This server didn’t seem to know that that was the reason for the new shrimp. Desserts: we preferred the yuzu sorbet. This seemed like a lazy dessert. The restaurant week menu lists “chef’s choice” but it seems that wasn’t available during our visit
This place has pretty good reviews but the food was not great compared to the price- I did not eat any of the meat however. A plate of veggie bbq was at $18. The banchan was decent, dessert was good. Overall good but nothing mind blowing.
