Atmosphere was clean, fast pace, but loud! Had to wait to be seated but Saturday lunch time is to be expected. It was quick, 7 before me on the wait list for 2/3 people... only waited less than 15min before we were seated as well! Service was spots on... A call button if needed but waitress was always around for anything. Food wise ... Came very fast... Banchan were fresh kimchi (was amazing... Not overly spicy and still have a nice crunch. Soy sauce marinated daikon... A bit sweet to me but mom loved it. Seafood pancake was soooo good with their hot soy sauce... Pack with squid, shrimp and the batter was so light! Fishcake kalguksu spicy broth (level spicy)... To me had a nice kick but next time will definitely get extra spicy... Different type of fishcakes... Plenty to make you full and that's before the noodle... Lots of not too chewy noodle that blends well with the soup. Beef bulgogi soft tofu stew (level spicy) also would get extra spicy for me but spicy had a nice kick also. The beef bulgogi was so tender and sweet, tofu was nice and soft (and not overly soft were it would crumble when trying to spoon it), the raw egg added a touch of creaminess to the broth. Stew came with 3 other banchan... Fishcakes, cucumber kimchi, beansprouts. Also all were great and refillable. Definitely will come back again and again!
Hearty noodle soup meals here. The tofu stew was a bit bland - probably because it's not their specialty however their seafood pancake was delicious. Very crispy. Recommend trying the pancakes. The service is quick and responsive. Food also came out very quick.
I love everything about this place! The noodle is top notch! It has a soft but chewy texture. The tofu is always so silky. The amount of ingredients they give is very generous. The staff is so sweet and attentive! They would ask if we want more side dishes. Highly recommended!
Hot chewy noodles were the best texture, not too salty or oily. Seafood pancake with just the right amount of crisp. Good barley tea to start. Service was very efficient and place was really clean.
Truly authentic Korean food! The pajeon and kalguksu tasted exactly like what you’d find in Korea. The kimchi, made fresh every day, was honestly the best kimchi I’ve ever had. After our first visit, we ended up coming back three weeks in a row. They even serve sujebi, which is hard to find these days. The owner mentioned that it requires a lot of labor, but he is committed to making it as long as there are customers who appreciate it. That level of craftsmanship and dedication was deeply moving. As a multi-generational Korean restaurant, this place is truly rare, it has both a strong philosophy and outstanding flavors. The staff were very friendly, everything was extremely clean and hygienic, and the portions were generous enough that we could enjoy the food again at home. Considering the quality, portions, and care that go into each dish, the prices were very reasonable, they could honestly charge more. If we ever return to New York, this will be the very first place we visit. Thanks to this restaurant, we had a wonderfully relaxing and healing vacation. Thank you!
