Korean Fried Chicken / Wings: Crispy, flavorful, and frequently recommended — especially Soy Garlic wings. • Bibimbap & Kimbap: Reviewers often praise the bibimbap and kimbap for being tasty and satisfying. • Tofu soup & ramen: Comforting and flavorful choices mentioned in multiple reviews. • Vegetarian options: Available and noted positively by diners. Ambience & Service • Cozy, simple, authentic vibe: Many reviewers like the casual, unpretentious atmosphere and K-pop music playing inside. • Friendly & attentive staff: Service is highlighted as a positive aspect in a number of reviews. • Small space: A few reviews mention the place can feel a bit tight or crowded. • Great for groups, casual dinners, or a quick bite near Midtown attractions (close to MoMA & Central Park). Generally regarded as reasonably priced for Manhattan, with solid portion sizes for the price, though some reviews mention smaller portions on occasion. Summary K-Bap & Wings is widely seen as a solid, affordable Korean eatery in Midtown NYC with standout wings and classic dishes like bibimbap and tofu soup. It’s casual, welcoming, and great for a quick Korean meal — though it isn’t perfect and can vary in portion size and crowd.
The food we tried was absolutely delicious! We had some Korean-style wings that were perfectly done—crispy on the outside and wonderfully tender on the inside. The rice cake skewers and bulgogi beef were also good! The place was a bit tight, tables were so close to each other and loud. The staff was friendly, although the service was a bit slow. Overall, it was a good experience!
The cheese wings is soooo good. And the cheese rice cake is soooo addictive-taste like chips. Both have the perfect amount of flavoring and crisp that other places can’t do. I would def get the wings if you’re there. It’s a bit tight in there but solo dining is welcomed! Staff members were kind and helpful.
I went to this casual Korean spot a while ago for dinner after going to Central Park nearby. They were pretty packed inside, but the woman was friendly, and I got a seat relatively quickly. I wasn't particularly in the mood for anything fried, so I went for their Spicy Pork Over Rice/Jeyuk-depbap/제육덮밥, which was $14.95. The pork was pretty tasty, with a bit of char, though the chili paste/gochujang was slightly milder than at some other spots. It was still a pleasant amount of heat, and it definitely was tender. The dish also came with a fried egg on top, which was a bit overdone for my liking. I don't mind the edges being crispy, but I want some yolk to drip. There was also some pickled cucumber with a bit of crunch that was pretty tasty, along with the rice, of course. The dish was pretty tasty, a good step above the closest casual Korean place to me, and worth the price. I'd go back here to try what they're more known for, which is their wings, another day. I'd recommend the place if you're in the area and looking for a quick and relatively cheap Korean meal.
Tenders here are so delicious 😋 I got the soy garlic and..juicy, crispy, flavorful and tender. The Bulgogi over rice, though not much for the price in my opinion, was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Great ambiance and good staff.
