★This school is truly the worst.★ I attended this place that barely qualifies as a school for four months, from May to September of 2025. The person called the director here only pretends to be kind when you go for counseling or shortly after you start attending... Once you start attending regularly, that mask slowly slips away. If anything displeases her, she nitpicks every minor action and torments you. She enjoys yelling at the top of her lungs and humiliating you in front of everyone. If you dare to stand up to her there, she shakes with rage and fires you, telling you to quit the school. They exploit Korean immigrants' weakness in English, forcing them to attend here, and use it as leverage to bully them mercilessly. Legally, students are entitled to a 30-minute lunch break for classes over 5 hours, but if they dislike a student, they constantly monitor them and scold them even before the time is up. Even though I used my lunch break to run to a nearby hair salon where I worked part-time and returned within 30 minutes to collect my pay, the principal still scolded me. She arbitrarily marked my time card 20 minutes earlier than when I actually left. When I confronted her about it, she yelled at me to get out of the school immediately. That night, she sent me a message via text and email, notifying me of my dismissal as if it were an official announcement. This place is Director Victoria's kingdom. Even though the students pay to attend, this director acts as if she were the boss handing out salaries. ★If you enjoy being scolded and get angry at unfair treatment, then go ahead and attend here. If you don't want to waste your money, I strongly recommend against it.★

Honestly, I still miss my time at Straight Perm Beauty School so much. The energy from all the teachers was unreal — every day felt alive and real. Especially Mrs. Victoria… When I started, I was in a completely broken place. I was homeless, depressed, anxious, and my life felt totally destroyed. No exaggeration — I was at rock bottom. She didn’t just teach me barber skills. She helped me survive that moment in my life. People with that kind of heart are rare these days, and I’ll always be grateful I met her. In about 7–8 months, I got my license, and now I’ve opened my own barber shop in K-Town. Sometimes I still laugh to myself like, “Wait… I’m actually cutting clients’ hair pretty well.” 😄 This school doesn’t just create barbers — it creates ethical professionals and real hair artists. My barber journey is still ongoing, and I’m proud it started here. What’s your story? Big respect and thanks to Mrs. Victoria, Mr. Mike, Maestro Israel, Maestro Colon, Maestro Ook, and all the senior barbers. You truly change lives, not just careers. 💈✨ If you’re thinking about quitting, give yourself one more chance. That one decision can change everything. Fixing and upgrading your self is more rightful and smarter thank trying to fix some that you don't like.

******ATTENTION****** If you want to study cosmetology, I recommend enrolling in a truly professional school. Unfortunately, this institution is poorly managed and lacks proper structure. The owner, Victoria, is known for creating an overly strict and controlling environment. Many students, especially within the Korean community, have shared negative experiences about being unfairly treated or pressured. While the decision is ultimately yours, I strongly encourage you to think carefully before enrolling. The school has an unprofessional system, and many people in the community are already aware of its issues.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A HAIR CUT I got a haircut and they didn’t even comb my hair before or after. The students seemed clueless, and the teacher wasn’t very helpful. Save your $15 and go somewhere else. Worse haircut of my life

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Straight Perm Beauty School! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. I initially came in the day before, but appointments are required, so I called ahead for the scheduled day. The teacher and the student(s) were incredibly professional and welcoming. All the students were respectful and focused, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere. While it's important to remember that the students are still learning, I was made to feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire process. My experience was truly amazing, and I will be returning in the future! Despite some lower ratings, I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. The prices are clearly listed on the main board; everything is transparent and easy. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking top-notch training in a welcoming and professional environment!
