Love the haircut I got from Jiny! All the staff is super friendly and I had no wait time for my appointment. Jiny is very efficient and I was done within half an hour. I loved how she cut my hair with long layers, U-shape cut and curtain bangs. She even taught me how to style it and gave me some tips for at home. It was also very reasonably priced. I am so happy with my haircut and will definitely come back.
I recently had my haircut at Hair News by Jiny (the owner), and I can honestly say it transformed not just my hair — but the way I think about hair care in general. I’ve never been “into” hair. No coloring, no styling — just the occasional cut whenever it got too long to manage. I’d usually go to whatever salon had good reviews and ask for a trim, without much thought. I always assumed my hair was just...boring and lifeless — that nothing could really be done with it. From the moment I sat in her chair, she took time — real, intentional time — to get to know my hair. She asked thoughtful questions, analyzed my hair texture and condition, and gently offered suggestions, not in a pushy or salesy way, but with genuine care and passion for what she does. In just 5-10 minutes, she taught me more about my own hair than I’ve learned in 35 years! She explained why regular trims matter (even if you’re low-maintenance like me), how damaged ends can tangle and create more breakage, and shared insight specific to my hair. It felt like a mini haircare masterclass. Then came the cut — quick, not because she rushed, but because her expertise and confidence made every movement intentional and masterful. The result? My hair felt healthy — soft, light, and alive. Jiny is not only a highly skilled stylist — she’s kind, patient, and passionate about doing right by her clients. You can feel that she truly cares about each person who walks through her door. I will definitely be back for future trims. Great customer service and talented hair stylists. Very comfortable chairs, relaxing atmosphere, and clean establishment. The one who did my hair was Vivian, she made me feel very comfortable, she also listened to what I wanted to do with my hair, and did a good job with my hair too! She has a good hand, my hair is growing fast! I'm definitely coming back again.
Had my hair and makeup done for my wedding. Jinny is excellent with what she does. I showed her a concept photo to make sure she knew what I wanted (much better than trying to explain verbally) and she took care of the rest. Made the appointment well in advance to make sure I secured my spot, and the entire time I got Jinny's undivided attention. Total of 2 hours, with makeup being about 1.5hr and hair styling about 30min. I brought my own hair accessories I got from amazon and she fit it in nicely - it did not fall out the entire day even with dancing. I asked for natural looking makeup. I have to admit I felt nervous at the moment as I typically do not have makeup on, however she ensured the photos will look better and she was right. I have been going to Jinny the past couple years and I will definitely continue to have her for all hair color, cuts, and styling. Thank you Jinny!
Love at hair cuts at Hair News. Hair stylist Jinny is my go to. She’s quick, great cutting hand and meets my requests for how I want my hair styled. I usually get a straight short hair cut with bangs every other month. Simple but I’ve had it over cut in other places or with other stylists a few times that I don’t like. I get a hair wash and cut within 45 minutes.
