Mr. Lawrence was my business landlord for about 12 years. During that time we had no problem and that’s probably because I was paying him. Fast forward, Hurricane Ida happened and destroyed the roof on part of the building. Mr. Lawrence was aware of this because it is his building. He didn’t make arrangements asap to save the front or any area that may have been good to repair . Fast forward, So, he let the building sit because of his choice and the entire inside molded, so now it’s no good inside. The entire building had to be gutted. All of my possessions were destroyed. Thanks Mr. Lawrence. So we talked and he finally decided to get roof repaired and also we discussed me buying the building because he was tired of it and wanted out. So at the time we discussed a reasonable price that I thought sounded good. He said I needed to give to him asap because he needed to get rid of it now, so we negotiated that the sale would be 40,000. I gave him 25,000 in cashiers checks to hold on the sale of the building because I thought this would be a good opportunity for me as a daycare center owner to buy this property and also because the start of my lease I put a lot of money into the building to bring it up to part to open (60,000+). Fast forward, Mr.Lawrence doesn’t live in the city so I offered to contract the roof and find a company to repair and he said ok. Fast forward the entire tiring process of getting the roof completed. The roof was done. Mr. Lawrence then came to me with another price. We couldn’t come to a fair agreement so I just said forget it because I can’t afford it. I asked him to return my checks . He then started stalling and saying he can’t because I made a commitment and all type of excuses why he wasn’t returning me my money. Fast forward after going back and forth for months and years now he sold the building and ghosted me without paying me my money. So now I’m let without refund and loss of income it has costed me , loss of livelihood behind this, as a single mother taking care of my child. I shared all this gave him options and all and he still continued to stall, block my number, not respond, and just disappear. I’m now in the process of finding a legal assistance with this matter .
Mr. Lawrence Yoo has been the best property manager. I've been knowing for 5 years now and he always have tried to help the tenants in the best way possible.
Mr. Lawrence Yoo has been spectacular. He is professional and very sincere. He goes above and beyond his duties. He is someone you can count on and trust that he will get the job done.
