Small selection. Even smaller attitude problem. I entered quietly, received no greeting, and browsed on my own—until the store manager decided to interrupt my shopping experience with an unsolicited, condescending lecture about wine palate and how he believes wine should be chosen. There’s confidence, and then there’s talking down to customers. Unfortunately, this was the latter. I came in looking for wine, not a personality test administered by someone who clearly enjoys hearing himself speak.
Came here looking for an interesting bourbon but it was all super marked up. They asked $109.99 for an eagle rare 10 yr when I bought one last week for $59.99. The actual selection is relatively narrow but not uninteresting for whiskey but the prices are a no from me.
The attendant ignored me after greeting them. After being told it was a 10 dollar minimum to use my card and got extra 2 small personals. The total came to 10.51 but when I checked my statement they charged almost 19 dollars. Very weird, and dishonest
Solid price points, especially for midtown, and really stellar recommendations. Got a nice bottle of port for a family friend and gift wrapping was included. Will be returning if I end up wine-less outside Brooklyn again!
