The Best Korean Meat – Hankook Meat in Bayside Hankook Meat in Bayside is my go-to place for top-quality Korean meat, especially their LA galbi—it’s simply the best! If you place an order by phone, they prepare the marinated LA galbi in just 30 minutes, making it incredibly convenient. The owner is always kind and welcoming, greeting customers with a warm smile. As a nice touch, they often offer service food like sliced scallions, which enhances the experience. Whenever I crave Korean BBQ, this is the only place I go. If you’re looking for the freshest and highest-quality meat, Hankook Meat is the place to be! Highly recommended!
The meat is usually good quality but this review is in regards to their customer service. The female cashier is extremely rude.. very unprofessional. Her attitude towards us worsened over simple questions and requests to see different cuts/packages of meat before purchasing. By the end of our transaction, she didn't even acknowledge us anymore - just handed back my card and walked away while rolling her eyes. The butcher is great. The cashier is terrible.
Better quality kalbi than hmart
On the Monday after Christmas, I treated three elderly women in their 90s with mobility issues to a meal at Sansugapsan 2. As I was dropping them off at their house, one of them was so grateful that she secretly bought a pack of ribs at the Korean butcher shop next door. When I got home and opened it, the contents were a mess. The visible portion wasn't great, but inside, the bones and meat were fighting over who had the thickest ribs. Asado... I bought half a pack because they said it had to be bought in packs, but I was able to eat about half as Asado ribs. The other half was just bones and fat, so I think it would be better to cut the other half in advance and use it for broth. As shown in the photo, I cooked it medium-rare, but it was tough. I don't recommend Asado.
