I had an absolutely amazing experience at this hair salon, thanks to Jo. From the moment I walked in, Jo took the time to truly understand what I wanted for my hair. Not only did she give me the perfect haircut, but she also went above and beyond by giving my damaged and dry hair the extra care it needed. I can't express enough how thrilled I am with the result. My hair now looks beautiful and healthy, all thanks to Jo's skilled hands and exceptional service. I'm truly grateful for the wonderful treatment my hair received. I must also mention that the salon itself provided a great atmosphere, making my visit even more enjoyable. The entire experience was top-notch, and I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Vancouver. Thank you, Jo, for your outstanding service and for giving me the most amazing haircut and treatment. You have truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Jo and this hair salon to anyone looking for a fantastic experience. Thank you once again!
I've been coming to Jo's for over a year now and can say I've been very happy with every haircut I've gotten here since. Some of the reasons I come back: 1. Jo is so patient. I mean she has taken time to get to understand what I want in terms of style and how it will fit into my day (do i have a lot of time to take care of my hair? Do i need to tie it up for anything? Etc.) 2. I've only received kind service since day one. I remember the first time I came here was on impulse and I had simply walked in, and Jo was accommodating even while busy. 3. The place is very clean, accessible, and reasonably priced for the quality of service in comparison to other salons I have visited.
I was excited to try this salon as I saw high ratings on google, so I booked an appointment with Joanne. However, what awaited me was a series of disappointments. First of all, Joanne doesn't speak English very well. I asked her questions but her answers showed that she could not understand my questions. I went with virgin hair, and I showed her photos of the hair I wanted to have. I asked her to dye my hair copper red and perm my hair so that I can have medium sized curls. After a good 5 hours appointment, my hair color barely changed, and I had big waves instead of curls. She dared to ask 360 dollars for this, and told me that she will fix it for free because I wasn't satisfied. I decided to give her a chance. The second time I went back, I only did the color, which was still not what I wanted. It's still much darker that copper red. Then I went back for the third time to get my hair permed again, but this time she used tiny rollers, and the curls are too small and it looks like my hair got fried. She also tried to layer my hair, but she did a horrible job at layering, and now it looks like it's been chewed up by dogs. She could not get the main job done but offered things on the side like streaks of highlights or giving me a free styling gel. She wasted more than 10 hours of my time and destroyed my hair. In the end I got my refund, but now my hair is so damaged and looks horrible. I would not recommend Joanne to anyone.
Joanne is a really nice designer. I did my hair as Joanne recommended, and I am very satisfied and very pretty. I'll keep going to Joanne! Thank you so much Joanne
Jo is one of the best hair stylists I've met. She takes her time when she's styling your hair and comes up with great ideas to make you look your very best.
