Food is amazing. Number 25 comes with 2 pork lions that are extremely juicy and tender. Rice on the bottom with cucumbers, bean sprouts, carrots and lettuce. Good portion size. Service is incredible. Very attentive waitress and waiter. Fast with drinks and extremely speedy with service. I ask for napkins or more water; I close my eyes for one second and it's literally all there! Guy with the blue hat...(Kim Tae) is extremely funny Waitress is extremely hospitable and overall kind. They both are The atmosphere of the place is very cozy, small but extremely cozy. A great place to come to after a long day of studying and work. The staff deserves a raise!
Ate around 2am post Friday night. Food was great, service was okay, wait time after ordering was about 30 minutes for the bowl, granted we sat down right away. Would definitely come again~ just be aware of a little wait
This 5-star review is way overdue for Pho 21! I come here all the time and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The pho is absolutely amazing. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are cooked perfectly, and the portions are generous. The prices are super reasonable too, so you get an incredible meal without spending a fortune. If you haven’t been to Pho 21 yet, you are seriously missing out.
I ordered the number 6, egg rolls, and the fried rice with a fried egg. It was very delicious. The soup was very flavorful and savory. The chef did not speak English very well so he accidentally scrambled it. We were fine with waiting again and the customer service was amazing. It was decently good for a price of pho.
Visiting Buena Park. It was ok but it made my stomach hurts after. A good pho would never do this. Likely The noodles were a bit hard-So definitely not fresh kinds. The soup was basic, like I could get from a packaged powdered stuffs and save my $10 from this (I've have instant pho broth better tastes than this) or just meats wasn't not cooked let simmer over a day. I didn't smell or taste any cinnamon, star anise, onions, all the herbs and stuffs that authentic pho would have (slow cooked bones broth over 72 hours), even the meats were so little, not full like in Little Saigon where there is more substantial portions of each types of meats. I got Special Pho and it was like just one piece of each. For the price, at least 2 of each. I guess the rule with Pho place followed by a # "are legit supposed to be good" aren't true and there's this exception.. the staff were Korean so maybe they don't know. Even the vegetables pho, my friend said were just water and vegetables that didn't let marinate into broth and plain. She had better. It looks like it was made on the fly. Vegetables looked a bit raw, like it was added after not cooked together with / as broth/soup. I wouldn't return here if I was in the area.
