The experience was amazing. Firstly, we arrived earlier than our reservation time but they still seated us right away. The service was exceptional. Our food came very quickly and they were quick to take our plates when finished. I also want to mention, they have one of the nicest restrooms I’ve ever been in. The smell in there was amazing and their tissues felt so nice. The food was great as well as the drinks and we even got a dessert to go. The atmosphere was also really nice, definitely agree with others about the noisiness but it adds to the vibe so not an issue at all for me.
If you are looking for a dining spot in downtown Los Angeles that manages to feel both grand and welcoming, Bottega Louie deserves every bit of its reputation. From the moment you step into the soaring white and marble dining room, you feel a sense of energy that makes even a casual meal feel like an event. The open kitchen, polished brass accents, and soft lighting give it a glamorous brasserie feel without tipping into pretension. It’s always bustling, filled with a mix of locals, tourists, and people celebrating something, and somehow the service still keeps pace with calm precision. What makes Bottega Louie unique is how well it bridges two worlds. It’s a full restaurant and bar, but also a world class patisserie. The display case alone stops people in their tracks, filled with jewel toned pastries and their famous macarons. The macarons are exceptional, crisp on the outside and tender in the center, with flavors like pistachio, lemon, and salted caramel that actually taste as described rather than just sweet. The savory menu is equally strong. The burrata pizza with prosciutto di Parma and rapini is a standout, perfectly balanced between creamy and salty. The tagliatelle with beef ragu is rich and deeply flavored, and their beignets at brunch might be the best in the city. Bottega Louie sits in a beautifully restored early twentieth century building that feels perfectly at home in the heart of downtown’s revival. It’s one of those rare places that captures what makes Los Angeles dining exciting right now. Whether you’re stopping in for a full meal or just a coffee and pastry, it’s impossible not to be impressed.
Enjoyed a delicious meal for a work meeting and really enjoyed all of the food, flavors, and vibe. This spot is rather loud but the food was worth it. We loved the burrata, Cesar, and the carbonara. The carbonara is delicious but very heavy so we shared!
High quality patisserie and restaurant. Also have good gluten free options. Enjoyed the macarons (GF) and the flourless chocolate cake. The ambience and display are superb. High ceiling, marble floor and counters. Overall great food and pastries
This restaurant is amazing. They make mushroom sticks that are unbelievable. I now have a friend that lives in a apartment above this restaurant so now I get to eat here even more often than before. Highly recommend. You can’t go wrong. Good desserts good dinner with ambience good staff with everything. I took pictures looking down the street because there’s a metro station just two blocks away if you’re on the metro
