I paid $11 for a plate of rice with some protein and veggies on the side. There was just a thin layer of original beef on top and they already come thin. I say I proportion my scoops to be a balance of protein of rice and I was left with more rice to feed 2 other people. Ridiculous proportions and greedy. I didn't look at it in the store because this never happened to me but now I will. Save your money folks! Or just double check they aren't being stingy with the protein!

This is my favorite Yoshinoya for several reasons. The place is clean, bright with lots of light from the corner location. They play k-pop music. Brian and Sara have always been excellent members always welcoming everyone and having the best attitude. Sad to se Brian moved on, but Sara is still here keeping this place my Yoshinoya in Mid City.

Yoshinoya is one of the staples in Japanese early morning fast food. I know we have some branches in USA, so I have been curious how it taste like in USA. Food wise- it is definitely a different flavor. The gyudon tastes a bit more bland than the ones I had in Tokyo. We don’t serve egg raw in USA but in Japan it is a standard thing to add a raw egg on your gyudon. It is not even an option. The chicken rice - is actually cooked like chicken karaage. Difference from American chicken is we use wheat flour , karaage use potato starch. This one was not bad. Tempura - this one was good. Though wished they give a bit of wasabi. Boba - new to the chain are bubble drinks. I had the milk tea. It was spot on. $4+ for a medium one and $6+ for a large cup. Price - bowl is $8+ (1 protein, rice, vegs) + 3.50 to make it a meal with a drink and a sides. I selected the tempura. —- The location I went to a server named Sara or Sarita was very kind to the customers. She goes beyond taking orders, she engages customers with small convo’s. There was a little girl who had a doll. She told her the order was put on her doll’s name. It is not often you have employees who comes to work with such energy and shows how much they like their job. Good work to your staff!

The lady who helped me was the best, so professional and kind when I didn't understand some things. She patiently gave me plenty of time and options, truly a wonderful experience. She said her nickname was "lasagna". Made sure I had coupons for next time, which was a nice touch I thought genius and unprecedented. She really brightened my day and made the experience lovely. Food was great - fresh and hot.

The $15 meal only has a small amount of food. Does this store think it's a sushi restaurant? Next time I come, could you just give me a box? I paid $15. This place doesn't need to be a restaurant; they can just rob someone. $15 for a food container!
