I tried the beef jjamppong (spicy noodle soup), but it was really disappointing. The broth had almost no flavor, and the beef was very tough and chewy, like rubber. The tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) was okay — it had a good amount of meat and wasn’t bad overall. I really wanted to like this place, but the jjamppong needs much better seasoning and quality control.

Located in the Korean Galleria Market 5 min bowl/ Shang Hai Ban Jum offers affordable comfort food the restaurant has ample seats. Although I wasn’t sure of the name – peep the receipt pic. (Guess I’ll post on both) Nonetheless the restaurant serves both Chinese and Korean food. Initially, my partner and I wanted a Chicken Teriyaki Dosirak and Crispy Mandoo but the gentleman taking my order said he didn’t have either so I quickly made the decision of what would be similar – Chicken katsu and 2 Steamed Wang Mandoo. $19 out the door, the food was enough for 3 people – We ended up taking some Katsu and a whole Mandoo home! The food came out hot honestly, this place is affordable and delicious! Would recommend them any day!

It's inside the supermarket plaza so it's convenient. Food is okay. The fried rice is good, not all yellow. It stays white, which is what good fried rice should be. Black noodles are okay. Two stars because the utensils are dirty.
