We love saam. So we were super excited to try this place. Their platters are huge. Service is great. Food is yummy! We had the platter with three types of pork... the garlic was the best. We also had the platter with ribs and cheese. The best part of the meal was when they took the grill back into the kitchen and made a fried rice from the pan drippings... the seaweed was the perfect umami to add!
The cheese pot of pork is creemy and in great taste with such a thick cheese...(Somehow more spicy than what I expected.) It has to say as a surprise for the fried rice poured into the pot with cheese and sauce. Other food are just above the average. It's a little bit cold when sitting.
Mediocre Korean food in Ktown. The bossam was decent, the seafood pancake was heavy and very bland. Was expecting more, also they overcharged me $1 for the beer already expensive at $8 but I didn’t want to wait for the correct price so I paid it. Wouldn’t go back.
This is for those who have been curious about this place and need an explanation! Do you like Pork? Pork belly bbq? But want a healthier option? That’s traditionally Korean and super tasty!?! Then this is the spot! Get any of the Bossam combos! They all come with side dishes (the photos are misleading). Bossam is a boiled pork belly that is much healthier and they come topped with sweet garlic sauce or spicy sauce or just plain! We got all 3 to try our first time and then came back for only the garlic Bossam! Eat it with the pink radish wrap and kimchi in one bite! And enjoy!!! The only thing to note! Reserve ahead of time! It does take time to make for them, and I have a 4 for atmosphere because it was kind of empty. Bathroom was a little messy but still useable lol
The bossam itself was juicy, melts in the mouth, and not fatty at all. The food here are comforting and gives you a little hug! The kimchi noodle soup was also unexpctedly amazing, it has the perfect balance of sourness, sweet and umami amd generous in seafood. A 9/10
