Ive been coming to Bonjuk for almost a decade and have followed them from their location on Wilshire, then Western and now at 6th! Their porridge quality is TOP TIER and I love getting it on rainy days, in the winter, when Im feeling sick etc. I always feel soo much better after eating it, its so hearty and healthy and I love that it comes with the sides (radish soup, beef, sauce etc). My favorites are the seafood, salmon with veggies, veggies etc. Cant recommend the flavor and quality enough! Ill often call to order and its always ready in less than 10 minutes

Ive been going to Bonjuk since they were on Wilshire blvd. If they are going to increase their price every year, they should keep their quality as well. Price has hiked up like crazy but quality is horrible. I ordered kimchi octopus porridge and only kimchi I find is the ends and barely any octopus. Its $25 of just rice. So disappointed and this is absolutely unacceptable.

❗️$15 min for cards! This place is awesome! I literally fell in love. They have a lot of options! The bowl with porridge is huge plus you’re getting side dishes. I liked my $13 Mushroom & Oyster Porridge so much that ordered a Pumpkin one to go to try (they give you all the side dishes to go as well) Will definitely come back when I’m next time in LA.

Comfort food for the soul and tummy. Had the Samgae (chicken with oriental ingredients) for supper. Came back the next morning for Octopus and Kimchi. Really tasty, full of ingredients, with small sides like kimchi and radish. Recommend you just eat it fresh and steaming so that the satisfaction goes right to your core. So. Freaking. Good. You know a place is legit when Koreans are ordering non stop. Was brought back to Insadong Seoul when I first tried Bonjuk and this did not disappoint. This place made me happy. T^T

I enjoyed eating juk here because it was warm and comforting. I think the price is much, but California living I guess. I recommend getting the shrimp juk because it comes out HOT and flavorful. The shrimp portion is just right because you want to eat a spoonful of juk and a piece of shrimp on the top!
