I came here with my out-of-town guests, who chose this place. I didn’t know there was a restaurant that specialized in samgyetang, so I was excited to try it. Since this is a samgyetang specialty shop, the menu is limited and mainly focuses on chicken stew. As it was my first time here, I had to try the classic samgyetang. One of my friends ordered the samgyetang with abalone, which intrigued me because I didn’t know they were served together. I was curious to see how it would taste. My samgyetang arrived piping hot, and I ordered it at a medium spice level. We also ordered extra rice because we thought drinking soup alone wouldn’t be filling enough. However, the soup already contained sweet rice, and it turned out to be very filling. The broth was flavorful, and the chicken was tender. My friend, who ordered the version with abalone, had to wait about five minutes for the abalone to finish cooking in the hot soup. He said the abalone was tasty and was satisfied with his meal. The servers here are mainly Mexican rather than Korean, which surprised me, but the service was adequate and attentive. Parking is easy since the restaurant shares a large parking lot with other shops in the strip mall. Street parking is also available. I would recommend trying the samgyetang with abalone, as it’s not something you find everywhere. I’ll definitely be ordering that next time!
I rarely feel this compelled to glaze restaurants like this. This food cleansed my soul. Instead of water, you also get an herbal tea made with 8 different ingredients and it’s equally as nourishing. The owner is extremely kind and genuine, and made our experience homey, relaxing, and cleansing
You're not going to get any closer to homemade healthy "sam-geh-tang". They also have extra herbal healthy options (#3) if this stuff isn't superpowered with healthy ingredients already. I ordered #1 and rice and it's just as good as my dad used to make it in the winter to make sure we stayed healthy and energized. Also, you get a special korean cinnamon tea that's unique to this place when you dine in. The ban chan (side dishes) are fresh and delish as well. If you're lucky, you'll see the owners helping out and they are just as kind as the food is delicious and vitalizing.
Best samgyetang (chicken soup with sticky rice) of all time. I love and worship this place and hope it never goes away. As a korean, i love the hanbang so i can get the medicinal benefits as well as that soothing nostalgia of chicken soup. The owners are such beautiful, kind humans and the guy always has rainbows coming out of his eyes. I love the tea they serve before meals, i love the soup, the service. Love buil samgyetang!
Foods solid, not much selection. Recommended for ppl who are feeling a lil sick and need something warm to feel you up 😉 I got the hanbang chicken soup. Super sizzling hot just like me 😅 Food: 7/10, would come back for occasions when i need something to heal Atmosphere: no complaints, it’s a restaurant nothing fancy Service: 👏👍
