Incredible Service and High-Quality KBBQ - A Must-Visit Gem! I am absolutely blown away by our experience here and honestly can't understand why this place wasn't packed on a Sunday afternoon. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was on a completely different level from any other Korean BBQ restaurant I've visited. We were greeted by the owner as soon as we arrived, and after mentioning it was our first time, he gave us a personal tour of his establishment. The service from both the owner and the staff remained incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal; we always felt catered to. In a move that truly sets them apart, they cook the meat for you at your table! The owner even personally checked on us, teaching us the traditional way to eat with lettuce wraps (ssam) and encouraging us to use all the different condiments and sides for the full Korean experience. The restaurant operates with a self-serve buffet for all the sides and raw meat, allowing you to get as much as you want. We chose the $45 option, which I highly recommend. The meat was exceptionally high-quality, and the boneless rib BBQ was a definite 10/10. For this level of service and food quality, the pricing is very fair and feels like a bargain. The ambiance adds to the charm. The restaurant opened in 1992, and stepping inside feels like traveling through time. The vintage vibe is well-preserved and adds a layer of authenticity to the meal. I will be back in a heartbeat. This isn't just a great meal; it's a warm and welcoming experience provided by an owner who is clearly passionate about his restaurant and his customers. Highly recommended!
Hey fellow gourmands! Skip this place. Echoing what several other reviews here have stated, AVOID as they demand tips and will confront you if you tip anything below 18%. This place is self-service and the servers barely understand English enough to provide service. Cleanliness is a huge issue and everything from the floors to the booths, to the main self-serve food areas look and feel unclean. Finally, the elderly Korean man who apparently is the owner kept glaring at our table and stalking us when we went to get self-service meats to ensure we weren't taking meat from the higher tiers. Had the audacity to claim that more than 4 people requires an 18% tip without being able to show anywhere on the menu it stated this. Entirely skippable KBBQ joint- please just go somewhere nice like a chain. Even that would be way better than this place.
Best Korean AYCE I’ve had in LA because it’s authenticity and great traditional dishes. Everything is self service. The seating was there since the 80s. Ribs are super good. The meat quality was good too. The best thing was the pumpkin soup and the rice dessert. The texture was just right. The real “comfort food”. I’ll be back. Love this place!
It is really good and it's really filling. The meats are high quality and so good. The service is amazing there as well. I would recommend to someone who loves Korean BBQ
The service was incredibly, the attention for the little details was so good, one of the owners cooked for us and introduced us to Korean culture and their food, we felt like we were in Korea. The restaurant feels like 80’s or 90’s Korean which is amazing, thanks Daniel (Danielito) for the service and being so attentive.
