I am a sandwich carnivore. House of Bread is literally the BEST sandwich place is the San Fernando Valley. Every single ingredient is so fresh & the sandwiches are outstanding. My two go-to’s are the Cranky Turkey and the Veggie Delight. The ladies who work there are so very friendly and the shop is always so clean and inviting.

Every time I come here, I get transported to The Shire where the little hobbits bake their tasty yummy breads. That's right folks. The bread and cakes and sandwiches and soup here are made with love! I ordered the Italian sandwich with 2 pickles. And the bread was fresh baked and the meat was tasty and the add-ons made the flavours sing. Tasty. Delicious. Filling. Fresh. Like home. I highly recommend you try the food and cakes here. Great quality that any Hobbit would be proud to have 2nd breakfast here. Yummy tasty nom noms!

Went on a Sunday afternoon. There was hardly anything available so I settled on chocolate zucchini bread which the woman says is their best seller. It's $10 for this small loaf!! I would've walked out but just decided to give it a shot. I got it home and cut myself a slice. It was the driest bread I've EVER had like it was 5 days old and it tasted SO strongly of almond extract. That unmistakable fake sweet almond flavor. It only lists vanilla extract but I'm telling you that's not what it tastes like. Please save yourself $10 and skip this place! Go to a Farmers Market save yourself money and get some yummy fresh handmade bread there instead.

Best breads in the valley! And their sandwiches are delicious! Make sure to get the Squaw bread for the sandwich!

I got a brownie , lemon bread and chocolate chip cookie. Tasted ok . the cookie was just a little dry however I would eat here again.
