Review is strictly for the LAX airport location only. Each location are run by different owners just share the brand name. Please never rent from this business. Its been hell. Currently working with my insurance company and lawyers to have this resolved. If anybody has similar stories please contact me to help build a class action. There were several red flags from the start. 1st it was the presentation. Its location is in a sketchy alley. No place you would want to walk alone especially at night. 2nd red flag was the deposit. They wanted $1,000. The Orlando location is only $250. I still continued with the reservation because I had absolutely no plans on driving it. It was simply being used to get us to and from the cruise port. Thats all. The rest of the time it was securely stored in a locked indoor parking structure at a very fancy hotel. This video shows exactly how it was returned. And at the end of the video are photos sent to claims to prove I brought it back flawless. Again I never used it. When I returned the car I walk to the front desk and personally hand the keys to the secretary. Then was told to wait for the shuttle out back and I was free to leave. We waited at least 10-15 minutes for this shuttle the whole time the car is about 50 feet from us in our view. This whole time they could have done a post trip while I was still there. Shuttle finally comes. We check bags. We make it all the way to our gate. Nearly a hour passes if not more and the rental company wants to call saying I damaged their car and I have to return to do a inspection with them. They personally shuttle me to the airport. They know 1st hand I was gone. Im a business man. I travel often. 2-3 times a month. So I know to take post trip photos of a car rental. Im not an amateur. They referred me to the claims department that can only be reached by email. Never once replied to any of my messages. No pictures of what they have. No invoice of the damage. Nothing at all. They charged my card $1,000 and reached out to my insurance looking for more. The $1,000 was going to be the deductible for my insurance. My insurance reviewed the damage and denied the claim. Agreeing there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. The company refuses to return my deposit even after all this proof and investigation. After further investigating with my insurance company they said this same exact car with this company had a previous claim with the same damage. So we are currently checking in with other insurance companies to see if they had similar claims with this same car. As well as other cars they own. We are looking to see if they file duplicate claims. If so a class action would be justified. Again please reach out with similar stories. The damage they are claiming is a red mark. Before I was flipping houses I would buy cars out the salvage lot. They describe the damage as a paint transfer. Basically that is a scuff. Something that can be buffed out for free. And any auto body shop can agree a paint transfer is not damage. And it don't take $1,000 to remove. They are scamming. And if we find out they are affiliated with the auto body shop they used it will just help the case. At this point it has nothing to do about the little $1,000. Its the principal. I don't like scamming dirty business owners taking advantage of good people. Now that's the main issue. The 2nd issue was the car failing to start and they told me it wasn't their problem. So the car was in storage for 3-4 days while we were on a cruise. When we returned to the car it wouldn't start. Gas was full. Had full power. I googled the car and I guess its a regular thing with that specific car. The starter just clicks but don't turn over. I call the company. They said for me to call my insurance and have them figure it out. They said ask people around me to jump start it. They said have it towed. Just telling me everything except that they would help. Again we didn't use this car. We had to push it to get it to start.
My experience at Allied Rent-A-Car at LAX was extremely disappointing. After a 12-hour travel day, we were met with unprofessional, aggressive, and hostile behavior from staff. Maria, who was assisting us, was rude and dismissive when my husband asked reasonable questions about the vehicle and the charges. An additional insurance fee was being added that had not been clearly disclosed beforehand. When we asked for clarification, she struggled to explain it and the situation quickly escalated instead of being handled professionally. When my husband expressed that the charge felt misleading, a manager approached us in an aggressive tone and told us they refused to service us. The interaction felt personal rather than professional, and there was no attempt to calmly resolve the issue. To make matters more concerning, there was a baby present behind the counter belonging to one of the employees, and several staff members appeared to be standing around rather than assisting customers. The overall environment felt chaotic and disorganized. After such a long travel day, we expected basic professionalism and transparency. Unfortunately, we received the opposite. I would advise future customers to carefully review all charges and be prepared for a potentially uncomfortable experience.
Reina made the experience so easy and seamless. Not only was it affordable, but the business will also shuttle you to your airline terminal upon drop off of the rental car. Would definitely work with Reina any time.
I rented a Nissan Ultima from this place last October. I drove the vehicle for six days And when I returned it, I was in a rush to get to the airport and there was no one to inspect the vehicle. They told me to drop the keys and I was fine. I received notice for my car insurance company that they were charged $11,000 for damages. I did not hit anything. I don’t know what they’re even talking about. Be very careful with this company. They will charge you $9/day for a rental, and then they will tell you that you owe them a new car.
Great customer service! Reina was so helpful with any questions and made the check in and check out process so easy! Will definitely use again when traveling to LA!
