We used to go to the YD karaoke on 6th Street. They referred us here cuz they were too packed. Akko karaoke is awesome! They completely remodeled the place and looks like it has a new owner. At the time of this review, the prices are $25 an hour per room plus $3 drinks per person. Which is not bad at all. They have different room sizes for each party. They also carry alcohol which is great if you want to sing your heart out. Do you have plenty of parking and it's completely free. This place is amazing. Feel free to come here and sing some K-pop songs or English songs, whichever you prefer.
I recently visited this karaoke place, and it was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was vibrant and clean, creating the perfect setting for a fun night out. The song selection was impressive, featuring a wide range of old classics to the latest hits. The sound system was top-notch, providing crystal-clear audio that made every performance feel like a concert. The rooms were spacious, well-lit, and equipped with comfortable seating, making it easy to relax and enjoy singing with friends. What truly stood out was the excellent service. The staff was quick to respond to any requests, ensuring that we had everything we needed, from snacks and drinks to technical support for the equipment. They went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. If you’re looking for a karaoke spot with great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and an extensive song library, I highly recommend this place. It’s perfect for gatherings, celebrations, or simply unwinding after a long day. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
charged us for more than we should’ve paid, most of our party was there for 2.5 hours, but even the two people who stopped by for an hour got charged for 2.5 hours.
Many songs to choose from, nice air conditioned room, beverages (that you must pay $2 for) that cool you down, nice lighting all make this a great time with friends. You can also control the mics’ settings to edit effects like echo or loudness. You cannot hear anyone else in their room, and they cannot hear you :) so go wild!
Biggest negative is getting strong armed into a forced tip. A tip by nature is optional. If it was so crucial to get that service money, they should add it as an included service fee and state it on their price list. Otherwise it becomes a hidden fee which sours the experience at pay out, and which is illegal i'm sure. I would have tipped without them insisting on it since it is what i did the first time I went. I liked this place, thats why i returned, but not a place i would ever return to until they become transparent and do not force you at check out for a tip. The pros are: Clean rooms. Enjoyable place. Good parking. Parking lot Guard at the door--whom I doubt will get a piece of that tip. A sizeable collection of English songs, but still much more geared for Korean repetoire). A laminated sheet with English translations is provided so you can navigate the control to input songs and the main buttons you will use have English text stickers on them. They have small selection of drinks alcholic and non-alcoholic. Some food options. Prices: $25 per room for up to 3 people per hour +$8 for each additional person per hour $7 for most drinks beer and coke $16 for soju
