I was referred to Tower Escrow by California Best Title. With nearly a decade in the mortgage industry, I’ve worked with many escrow companies, but I have never experienced such confusing communication. It felt like walking into a restaurant, reviewing the menu, trying to place an order, and then leaving because no one could clearly explain what was going on. What should have been a straightforward refinance turned into a very unclear process. The manager and senior escrow officer repeatedly asked if I had the “document signed,” but it was never clear which document they were referring to or what step they expected me to take. From my understanding, coordinating document signing is typically the escrow or title company’s responsibility, including sending a notary when needed. Even after we confirmed the file was balanced, the numbers were suddenly changed again without explanation. The back-and-forth made it difficult to know what to do next. Overall, it was by far the most confusing escrow experience I’ve had. It should have been simple, but the lack of communication made it unnecessarily stressful. I would honestly rate this a two-star experience, but I’m giving three stars to be fair.

We just closed an escrow with Tower Escrow. After two bad experiences with another escrow company. We are so pleased to have found a responsive, professional, and knowledgeable team. They made the process as painless and simple as possible. Julie Bahang was a pleasure to work with
Tower Escrow has shown me that they were unprofessional, lack care for client services, and sends sensitive documents through unsecured platforms I have never in my life been this angry talking and working with a professional. I don’t even want to state Julie Bahang is a professional. I’m surprised by some of the higher ratings here. I’m guessing Julie discriminates by the status of her clients on who deserves her service and who doesn’t. As a client, she treated me like I was NOT worth her time and she ignored and shrugged me off multiple times through emails and phone calls. She never called me once. I have never used an escrow before and when I go through major processes like this, I have a lot of questions. I expect the person I’m working with to be thorough and capable of explaining their job and what exactly their process is. My car dealership explains the process and technical details better than her when she is supposed to be a “senior” escrow officer. There are several incident that made me conclude she didn’t care about me and the quality of her work. The reason this made me incredibly angry is that the escrow process is not a small retail service/transaction. It deals with a major change and process in people’s lives. Julie treating her clients negatively without thorough explanations and expecting her clients to blindly follow without building rapport or trust is a horrible way to do her job. I think this is a way she can be shady, make mistakes, and screw her clients without them knowing if the client is not paying close attention. I greatly regret using Tower Escrow. I am warning those thinking about hiring them for their service. You can use them if you don’t mind blindly unknowingly following whatever they do or you’re experienced in using escrow accounts and are able to identify issues without any help.
I've worked with many escrow companies, but Tower Escrow is by far the best. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer service is unmatched
