I want to thank Mr. Luis Meza for the best customer service I’ve had in a while. Met all my expectations and answered all my questions. If you’re looking for great customer service, this is the branch to go to. Thank you again for your help.
I visited this Bank of America branch admittedly unprepared, as my phone was inactive at the time. I appreciate that they allowed me to use their WiFi, which helped me regain access to my online banking. I also informed them that I didn’t have my mailing address available, which I understand may have limited what they could do due to their policies and I fully respect that. My main goal was to withdraw $600 in cash and activate my digital card. The first employee directed me to a teller who was able to give me the cash using my California ID. I receive my paychecks through direct deposit at Bank of America, and I've had my account open for over a year. However, he couldn’t assist me any further since I wasn’t able to receive texts or calls yet, which was understandable. After fixing that issue, I came back to ask for help with my digital card. This time, I spoke with a different teller who didn’t seem very willing to help. He started the process but then passed me off to another employee, saying that person had more access. After answering a few questions and questioning me things like my status in the country, which I thought was imprudent. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was told I needed two forms of ID. At that point, I decided to leave respectfully. From my perspective, the whole situation felt a bit contradictory: if I was able to withdraw $600 from my account using just one form of ID, why couldn’t I activate my digital card with the same verification? No one was rude, but I did feel there was a lack of willingness to go beyond just following the basic protocol. I’m sharing this hoping it helps improve the experience for future customers.
Canceling all of our accounts right now. They wouldn’t cash our cashiers check for 15,000 for over 2 weeks. Went to chase. They had it done asap and in 1 day. They also wrote on our check. Never using bank of America again.
If I could put a negative review I would. I’ve never felt so disrespected or unwelcome at a bank. The Korean staff at this Bank of America branch treated me, a Hispanic woman, with clear prejudice and hostility. Instead of offering help, they spoke to me dismissively, made rude comments under their breath, and treated other customers with more respect and patience than they showed me. No one should ever be made to feel less than because of their race or ethnicity—especially at a major bank that claims to value diversity and inclusion. I left feeling humiliated and completely shocked by how openly biased the employees were. Bank of America needs to investigate this location’s staff immediately and provide proper anti-discrimination and sensitivity training. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any professional environment.
Yesterday, my wife attempted to make a withdrawal from our business account. Despite presenting both her bank card and valid ID, the teller appeared not to trust her identity. The employee proceeded to verify her mobile number and even sent a verification code via SMS before finally processing the transaction. Throughout this interaction, the teller maintained a suspicious demeanor and showed no sign of apology or acknowledgment for the inconvenience or disrespect caused. While I am not naming the specific employee involved, I sincerely hope that steps will be taken to ensure this kind of experience does not happen again. I urge your institution to provide proper customer service training so that future interactions reflect the professionalism and respect your clients deserve.
