My wife and I stayed here for 3 days for our anniversary trip. We stayed in a suite with the empire building view. The balcony with the view was amazing. It was great to have our own private balcony with a table and lights to enjoy the view. The room itself was nothing special and a little outdated. It was small, but it is NY so that is to be expected. The hotel felt very safe and was in a great location. I also appreciated the friendliness of the staff that I interacted with. I would stay here again and would recommend getting the balcony with the view!
Our stay at The Hotel at Fifth Avenue came together last minute during our blizzard “every mode of transportation in NYC is cancelled” adventure, and it worked out very well. The staff was friendly and efficient, which we especially appreciated given the chaos happening around the city. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent, right in the middle of everything. As a “just for one night” stay under unexpected circumstances, it fit the bill perfectly and made a stressful situation much easier.
The Hotel at Fifth Avenue is a luxurious Midtown gem! Rooms are stunning—spacious, elegant design, plush beds, and amazing city views. Service was top-notch: staff incredibly attentive, warm, and proactive. Location is fantastic—steps from Empire State Building, Flatiron District shopping, Madison Square Park, and easy subway access. Perfect upscale stay without the chain feel—great value for the quality. Highly recommend!
Such a great location if you want to be close to many attractions. We had a fast and easy early checkin. Yes, the rooms were very small, but as people who only need to be at the hotel for sleeping that was fine. It was quiet and clean- exactly what we expect. A bit steep price wise, but you are paying for convenience! Would stay again.
I'm not sure if I was assigned the worst hotel room but the room was incredibly smaller than I thought and the bed is right in front of the door which doesn't look like from any of the pictures so it was a bit off-putting having the bed right in front of the door. It was down the hallway and between two other rooms that were pretty loud. Also I'm a sole female traveler so I felt unsafe with all the noise and hearing door slams along with what seems to be someone fidgeting with my door too. I usually check the bed and floor and it was concerning to see this along with what looks to be some sort of mold behind my bed as I also have severe asthma. I checked in around 7:30pm and then left same day around 9pm because I just didn't feel safe and have respiratory issues. Sadly I pre-booked for a whole week so that's already a lot of money wasted.
