We had an exceptional stay at the Westgate New York Grand Central! The hotel is ideally located, perfectly situated for exploring New York. Everything is easily accessible on foot or by public transport, making our stay even more enjoyable. The staff is truly outstanding: always attentive, smiling, and extremely efficient. Every request was handled promptly and with great professionalism. We felt welcomed and valued from beginning to end. The room was comfortable, clean, and very pleasant after long days exploring the city. We highly recommend this hotel and will gladly return on our next trip to New York!
⸻ I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Westgate NYC! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed with their professionalism and genuine friendliness. The rooms are modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with stunning city views that truly make you feel immersed in the heart of New York. What really stood out was the attention to detail — from the comfortable bedding to the well-appointed amenities, every little thing added to a seamless and relaxing experience. The location is perfect, with easy access to iconic attractions, shopping, and dining, yet the hotel itself offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s bustle. I also loved the on-site facilities, from the fitness center to the dining options, which made everything convenient and enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, Westgate NYC goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Highly recommend — I can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We spent 6 nights at the Westgate Hotel with my husband while visiting NYC, and we had such a wonderful stay! The hotel is on the smaller side compared to other NYC hotel chains, which makes it feel very personal and truly like a home away from home. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, which really makes it stand out. The gym is great, the rooms are very clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. It’s also impressively quiet — you can’t believe you’re just a few blocks from Grand Central, which highlights the amazing location. Metro-North, LIRR, and multiple subway lines are all just steps away. This is by far our favorite hotel in NYC, and we won’t risk trying new places in the future. The design, along with the Gustav Klimt artwork, adds beautifully to the overall atmosphere. A special shoutout to Matthew, who was so kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our entire stay. We couldn’t have felt more welcome!
Two grandmothers sharing a city we love with our 10 and 12 yr old grandchildren were very pleased with WestGate NYC. The hotel has been recently renovated and it shows! Everyone on staff was helpful, engaged, friendly, warm and welcoming. Rooms were impecable and from furnishings to linens all very good quality. Matresses excellent, pillows quite comfortable. The floor we were in was very quiet even as we were near the elevators. We rested soundly and comfortably. The location of the hotel was away from the high traffic / density tourist areas but only a short walk to reach all the places we were interested in exploring. Central Station is very near by. A couple of small local restaurants were good to get us started each morning. We had a very enjoyable trip and were very pleased with these accommodations. Our only wish: that our rooms could have been connected to each other for easier interaction at the end of each day.
I left an amazing hotel in Philadelphia to this so the contrast was real. The destination charge is for a bottled water, wifi and cheap coffee in your room but still $40 a day. The rooms were small, dark and had no view even with me requesting one. The pillows were flat. I could hear the water/pipes in wall. There was so much light coming through the door which was 3 ft from the bed. I could hear people in the halls and bedroom. Could never figure out the TV. Service overall was poor to average. I needed a receipt for work as one was not mailed to me, it took 10-15 minutes on the phone just to get one. I then had to call back 30 min later. It felt weird to chase down a receipt like that. Overall- It didn’t have the feel of a 4 star hotel to me. The best thing was the location and being close to grand central station.
