Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles is located on Wilshire Blvd, just west of Koreatown. It’s a small but well-curated space where you can experience traditional Korean culture (한국 전통 문화). The current special exhibition, “Lights of Korea”, features beautiful traditional lanterns (연등) inspired by the Yeondeung Festival (연등축제) from Jinju (진주) and runs until February 28, 2026. Definitely worth visiting before it ends. Free parking is available, though street parking nearby may be more convenient. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Korean culture or K-culture.

This is a wonderful, free, bite-sized museum. Very well curated. When I was there, there was a beautiful exhibit by a photo journalist (until March 10, 2026). Impossible not to reflect on the current state of the US when reading about the seonbi spirit. Very compelling. Upstairs was stunning exhibit of silk Korean lanterns. Practicalities: The website seems to indicate that visitors can park in the parking lot. We rang the bell, but got no response. It was easy to park on the street. (No gift shop or café. Excellent Korean food available in the neighborhood.)

Parking is North of the center in their gated lot. Just pull up to the gate, push the communication button and tell them you are visiting to look at the exhibits. There is free parking along the street to the east as well. Check in at the information desk at the North entrance. Exhibits of Korean culture fill the first floor. Very well laid out with descriptions in Korean and English. The second floor has the special exhibits. Inland mother of pearl is there now. Truly amazing pieces from Korea. Admission is free.

Beautiful center for Korean culture and other events. Upstairs art gallery is a vast space with excellent lighting. Parking in the rear make it easy to visit. Korean cultural artifacts and displays downstairs. Friendly staff.
