I have been to this UPS store a few times. There was one a bit closer to me on Broadway, but I prefer this one. Sometimes I got great help at this location, other times not so good. For example, back in April, I was asked I needed to print out a hard copy of the shipping label when I presented the QR code. Then I said normally it was not necessary, but she disagreed and I said okay. Then she used the paper printer (not the shipping label printer) to print it and asked me to pay for the charge of printing one paper out. I refused but she gave up. It was not bad as I talked her out of it. The one on Broadway would not listen to you. I would keep coming to this location.
I came in here to get a passport photo. The lady operating the store was quite miserable and treated me like I was a waste of her time. Then they never sent me the photo and I had to call to get it. When I did get it there's no clarification across the photo that this was in fact a special passport photo, which is ridiculous. I could have taken it with my iphone. I doubt this will work for the passport Canada. At least treat the people who walk off the street better. Your energy was anything but uplifting.
- The older Korean lady was causing trouble for each customer delaying service by 20 minutes per customer - You will wait in line for 40 minutes to an hour each time because of this - she verbally assaulted me and asked me if I was stupid for not folding the package properly rather assisting me - told me I can’t order a return package order to my house and had to pick up from her store only which is a lie and a weird manipulation to get me back in her 1 hour line up and store location (to rip me off in person) - I was firm and reminded her that she was UPS and they indeed send packages to homes if you request a return slip - she ended up charging me $75 for the return slip (passport) knowing damn well that the passport office includes Canada Post in their payment fee - comedically terrible customer service and zero sense of sympathy and compassion for others. I think this woman is depressed and had a hard life and wants to take it out on those who are doing okay. I was shaking with anger when I left!
Jenson, the young man behind the counter was very attentive and courteous and efficient in talking care of my package of documents being sent to the US. He knew all the forms that needed to be filled in and took care of myself and another customer at the same time. The place was quite full of activity and packages so it looks like a needed service in this area!
OMG! I went in just to return an item, and the middle-aged staff lady told me to grab a bag to put it in. After I packed it and came back to the counter, she then told me I had to pay for the bag — and it was $7.5 CAD. That is absolutely crazy. She could have given me a regular bag or at least told me first. This felt completely unreasonable
