We have flown with many different airlines and so far Lufthansa was the best and most pleasant experience! They are very clean and classy and their food is outstanding! This time we were flying from LAX to Munich Germany. That's about 11 and a half hours so we needed to be comfortable. To avoid outlandish fees and since we were fiying internationally, we upgraded our seats slightly to premium economy. Had I not done the research, I would of just upgraded to business class or first class but after looking into it I found that premium economy, with Lufthansa, was a great option for a small extra fee. Hopefully my photos will get posted and you will see the ample amount of leg room offered plus the chairs do recline. There is a nice overnight kit complete with socks, earphones, eyemask and toiletries, a pillow and blanket, bottled water, full complete meals (at each mealtine), free assorted drinks and snacks throughout the flight. Keep in mind, this is just one step up from economy. It is not business class or first class. What we got for premium economy would be considered business or first on many other airlines.

On August 1, 2024, Lufthansa Airlines lost my luggage in transport from Charleston, NC to Munich, Germany. They told me to purchase clothing for my trip and would be reimbursed. I filled out the required forms and sent receipts. Over the course of 11 months, they have asked for numerous times for my ID, my flights, my bank accounts, my address, the chain of events, and other aspects. Some of these items I have sent 4 times. They continue to suggest that they still need the information that I have already provided to finalize and send the payment. The last email I received (attached) said they cannot issue a refund because the bank account information I received was not in my home country and needed to be UK bank. I am a US citizen who lives in the US and has always resided in the US. I have tried to contact someone in customer service but was told that they only handle customer service via email and cannot talk to someone. I have months of emails and failed attempts at getting the reimbursement.

I decide to upgrade for Business class after have a tough day and I will say I never being so well treat in a Airline… I travel a lot and I will put Lufthansa in my top airline list. The Flight attendant M. Wagner… treat me like somebody of her family… I felt very relax and my stress just did go away.

So disappointed with this airline. It doesn’t matter if you purchase seats (upgraded or not) way in advanced - they’ll continue to sell your seat until you’re in the worst seats. I’m traveling long haul with my baby in a couple of months and unfortunately cannot cancel the ticket (they know that). I won’t be flying with Lufthansa again on our many trips between USA and Germany. They might get this ticket fare now but they’ve lost all of our future business. They don’t care about its customers…it’s a greedy and crooked business.

Business class best value for the money comparing to other airline companies , traveling to LA and back to Frankfurt was amazing , service was exceptional specially by Stefan. Still love the Boeing planes always smooth
