I had a great experience flying with American Airlines! The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the trip. The plane was clean and comfortable, the boarding process was smooth, and everything was on time. I really appreciate their excellent service and will definitely fly with them again!

Amazing staff service! They have called me 7times when I mistakenly thought gate 157 was where I should be while gate 155 was the right gate where I should go!!! Always read boarding pass, I almost missed my flight! Flight attendants were so awesome!!! Finally, got in the plane but Lisa (flight attendant is retiring this year 2025) helped me to find an empty space for my luggage & a seat that is $300USD more expensive than what I had paid for! Joan and Scott were so awesome that I had to take a picture with them! Whole staff were so gracious!!!

Consumers need to unionize. If we got to nickel and dime customers the way they do us, I bet they'd do just as good of a job providing a service as they do selling it. De-normalize treating delayed flights nonchalantly. It creates big headaches for us. It should be a bigger one for them. Right your lawmakers. Tell them you know ether take money from airlines but you still expect to be represented fairly by them. Demand laws the refund and/or prorate delayed flights. Rather, require the airline cover and alternative flight. ALSO- if they overbook, they pay. If they decide to not your carry-on, they pay. Make them pay.

My recent experience with American Airlines felt less like air travel and more like a live demonstration of how confusion, random fees, and poor communication can turn a simple trip into a bureaucratic circus. First, the gate agent — who claimed she was trying to help — saw my carry-on and immediately charged me $40 to check it. Fine. Annoying, but whatever. Moments later, a random bundle offer appears on the screen saying I qualify for a FREE carry-on bag check. No explanation. No consistency. Just airline roulette.I ended up with TWO bag stickers/receipts for the same checked bag — one paid, one free — which perfectly summarizes the level of operational clarity happening here. When I asked for a refund, I was told the free bag offer is “random,” and therefore refunding the $40 was “not possible.” So apparently the system can randomly give you a free bag, but it cannot randomly give you your money back when you were charged first. Great, five star review worthy. Customer service felt like a shrug with a uniform. Policies seem to exist in multiple dimensions depending on who you talk to. To complete the experience, the TSA screening process was just as chaotic. Transportation Security Administration instructions were inconsistent — you’re told to keep certain clothing items on you, then pull to the side to take them off, as well as not taking out your electronics and leave it all together, but in another end, take electronicsout. It felt less like security and more like a guessing game where the rules change mid-turn. Flying is already stressful. This experience added surprise charges, contradictory policies, and refund gymnastics to the journey. If you enjoy confusion, inconsistent enforcement, and paying for things that become free immediately after you’re CHARGED, like a great slap into an upgraded flight, this airline delivers.

I had a very disappointing experience with American Airlines. My flight was delayed multiple times and ultimately canceled with poor communication throughout the process. I paid to upgrade from Basic Economy to First Class and never received the upgraded seat. I also paid for extra space/preferred seats, checked in on time, and had confirmed seat numbers — only to have the gate agent reassign my seats without my consent. I paid for specific services and did not receive what I purchased. Extremely frustrating experience and unacceptable customer service.
