Basic hotel at center of Koreatown Solo male traveler for 7 nights Pros: Located at heart of Koreatown (a block from Western & Wilshire). Booked initial 5 days with Agoda. Front desk gave me a discounted rate for last 2 night extension. Ralphs supermarket is just across the street. Cons: Wifi/internet 5Mbps. Stable but barely usable. The walls in the room must have been very thin and/or my neighbor was very sensitive. I received calls from the front desk regarding TV and phone call sound level on my first two nights. I didn't think I was that loud but I had to be mindful about sound level rest of my stay. Note: This is a very basic hotel/motel which was fine as I needed a place just to sleep but if I was traveling with my wife, I would not be staying at this property as she would consider the room not very clean. Parking - $10-15(?) with in/out. I didn't have a car on this trip but I thought this was good value. Housekeeping is available only on a request basis. There are still many Covid19 signs throughout the building.

My stay at Garden Suites Hotel was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. While the trip was for business, I was dealing with a personal emergency, and the manager, Justin, handled the situation with incredible grace and empathy. He and his team ensured I was taken care of every step of the way. It wasn't just a hotel stay; it was a support system when I needed it most. Five stars to Justin for his leadership and care.

My stay at the Gardensuite Hotel was disappointing. The furniture is old, and the room didn’t feel clean or fresh. For the price, I expected much better quality and comfort. Another issue was the security deposit — instead of being returned in 1–2 days, it took almost 10 days, which was very inconvenient. Overall, the hotel doesn’t feel like it’s worth the money. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

I booked and paid for a non-smoking room at Garden Suites, but it was obvious as soon as I walked in that the room had been smoked in previously. The smell was overwhelming and lingered in everything — my clothes, my luggage, even my CPAP machine. The hotel was fully booked, so I couldn’t be moved, and management didn’t offer any kind of credit or compensation. I expected a clean, smoke-free environment as advertised, and instead left with the exact opposite. Very disappointing experience — I won’t be staying here again.

Had a great stay during the holidays with beautiful lobby and Christmas tree! Great location in koreatown right across from the Wiltern. I would come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy stay!
