I want to start with the service, because I honestly can’t remember the last time I experienced service as exceptional as what Jose provided. He truly guided us through the hotel, sharing its history and explaining the value and significance of the property. He was extremely helpful, kind, and informative. If I could give a ten stars to Jose, I absolutely would. Thank you again, Jose, for your beautiful service. It really made our experience special. The hotel itself is stunning. You can feel its history the moment you walk in. Being more than a hundred years old, it carries so much character and beauty. Knowing that so many movies and stars have been part of its story only adds to its charm. It’s simply exceptional. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Los Angeles, which makes everything very convenient. They also provide parking and valet service, which makes a big difference when staying downtown. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Even the small details, like the quality of the shampoo and soap, show that they care. Overall, we had a very positive experience, and I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We stayed at the iconic Biltmore 3/6/26. Easy check in and friendly staff. Nice clean room on the 11th floor. Very impressed by the history and decor of the whole hotel. Unfortunately after we got back from dinner, trying to go to sleep there was all these weird knocking sounds, and you could hear the noise from the street considering the windows are original in a 100 year old building. You could hear all the rift raft on the streets. Not very safe area at all! Then while we were sleeping there was a huge explosion sound that shook the room and the windows. We finally packed up and left and went home. When we asked staff they didn’t seem to know anything about the explosion, like we were crazy! We have never left a hotel in the middle of the night. It’s really unfortunate it’s a beautiful establishment but I would not stay there again.

Where to start? You arrive at the parking lot and find it dominated by an army of valets whose sole goal is to take your car and make you pay the hefty surcharge. If you refuse, they send you to the top floor (10th floor if you're lucky, assuming it's not full). On top of that, the parking is in an adjacent building, so you have to exit and re-enter the hotel, and even though there's an elevator, you'll still face a flight of stairs. The front desk staff isn't very welcoming, and the first thing they do is put you in some kind of inexplicable queue—but whatever, it's not a big deal. Internet is truly abysmal and constantly drops if you try to use a video streaming platform. Don't forget to check the window disaster: they're dirty, and cold air and noise seep in all the time. The room is Spartan, and they don't have room service—yes, as you heard. Finally, the safes in many rooms are either off or out of battery, but the best part is when you call reception and they say they'll send the "engineer" to fix it. Of course, he doesn't come. You call again, they promise to send him, and still nothing. Exhausted after four calls, you resign yourself to no safe for your entire stay. The pillows are 10 cm high and as hard as they were 50 years ago... In short, not a good experience at all, except for the café Pitchound next door for breakfast, which I highly recommend—it's a really chic French bakery close to the hotel that lets you skip paying for breakfast there. Undoubtedly, its prestige comes from a bygone glorious era, as you'll see in its beautiful and luxurious lobby... but that's where it begins and ends.

This historic hotel is beautiful and full of interesting things to see and do. Upon checking in, we were provided complimentary access to the club level in celebration of my wife's birthday. The hotel is living history! Appreciate Christine Co for following up on our billing issues and providing a speedy remedy.

The Biltmore is basically a cool spot if you want that old-school, European-style lobby vibe without spending a ton of cash. I picked it because it was affordable and it looked great in photos, and it definitely delivered on that first impression when you walk in. The lobby is beautiful, the check-in was easy, and you don't get hit with those annoying resort fees. Now, on the flip side, the rooms are pretty basic. Don’t expect fancy artwork or plush beds. It’s really just a place to sleep. There’s also no room service, and the hotel combines the shampoo and conditioner, which might be a downside for anyone who prefers them separate. As for the amenities, the pool is nice but smaller than it looks in the photos, and the water can feel a bit murky. I think adding underwater lighting would really help and bring the space to life, especially with the old Roman tile aesthetic of the room. One important heads-up for photographers: the hotel is very strict about DSLR use in the lobby. Phone photos seem to be fine, but if you pull out a camera, even with a small lens, you will be stopped. This is something they should clearly communicate to guests ahead of time, because I imagine a lot of people would think twice if they knew how much of a hassle it can be just to take family photos in such a beautiful space. But overall, the location is pretty solid. You’re close to Grand Central Market and several great museums like The Broad and MOCA, and there’s also a Brazilian restaurant downstairs with good vibes and Friday night entertainment. Just be aware that the surrounding area can feel a bit rough, with visible homelessness and people clearly struggling with addiction. At first glance it can be a little jarring, but it’s still a convenient base for exploring downtown LA.
