Really cool place for the atmosphere, it definitely feels like you're stepping into a restaurant in Korea. My negative about this place is if you are not Asian or Korean don't expect to get treated fairly or get good service. I've been here a few times, one time with a group of friends who are Asians few of us not. We got sat right away; service was great. The second time I went I came with a small group of people who were not Asian mixed between white,Black and Hispanic. It took forever for us to get seated for them to even notice us and there were groups of people who came after us(Asian descent not judging) that got seated right away even though they do not have a reservation themselves. When we finally got sat our server seem to be annoyed that they were serving us, barely came and checked on our table, we had to get up multiple times to find somebody just to get a refill on the soju or to even order. Now my one positive is they do have a beautiful space an accommodations for large group, they also have a lovely outdoor area as well as parking.
I've been coming to this place for many years, and I have Korean friends who also love coming here. The main draw is the outdoor atmosphere. They play Korean pop music. A few of us arrived around 7 PM. We always prefer sitting outside, but this time, perhaps because we arrived early, there was no one outside yet. The waiter told us to go inside. I asked if the outside area was closed, and he said yes. The indoor environment was very noisy, and it was difficult to hear my friends talking. One friend wanted a cup of hot water, but the waiter said they didn't have any. Another friend's order of Coke also didn't arrive. The portion sizes of the dishes are getting smaller, but the prices are getting higher. We left after less than an hour. When we left, there were already Korean customers sitting outside. I don't know if it was because we arrived too early or if we were being treated differently. In any case, I was very disappointed, especially since it was my birthday. We ended up going to another place we frequently visit.
I went with a group of 5 on a Friday night at around 9. We waited for about an hour for Table 1 in the back. Food was good and price was decent. Between the 5 of us, we ordered: Fried chicken Kimchee pancake 4 hand rolls Chasu Fried squid 3 sides of rice 3 large bottles of soju (yogurt and peach) and 2 bottles of Cass It was packed so service was smacked but drinks always came out quickly. Hand rolls were a definite standout. Yogurt soju was too good. It was a good time.
i liked this place the first time we went so we decided take family and friends to go the next time we were in the area. food is good and from what i remember the soju cocktails are bangin’ but we didn’t get to have any this time around because apparently if you have one minor in your group they will refuse to serve you alcohol. we were specifically there for the pocha experience and were a large group mostly in our 30s, with just one minor (just 5 months away from being 21 btw) who was not going to drink - also his MOM was there! essentially our entire table of 9 was barred from ordering any drinks they said because was too busy and they wouldn’t be able to “keep an eye on us”. that was extremely frustrating and threw our entire experience off. so the food didn’t taste as good :/ what’s a pocha with no soju rip our old assess were pretty annoyed lol but i guess the bill was way cheaper that it would have been
Very disappointed!!! We’ve been here twice now, and both times were honestly awful—because of the same guy. I hate to say it, but it really felt like straight-up racism. He clearly only cared about Korean customers. Groups who came after us got seated right away, while we were left standing there waiting, even though there were open tables. What made it worse? He was putting all the Korean guests outside on the nice patio, and sticking everyone else like us inside. It was so obvious and just wrong. This kind of behavior is not okay. The guy seriously needs proper training, and more than that, he needs to learn that treating people differently based on where they’re from is never acceptable.
